But BestBuy cancelled it on 10/24.

anyone knows what this means or how to resolve it? I did a trade-in and had to bring my old device to store

Ordered another for backorder by Nov 19th later that evening, and it was canceled the next afternoon (the 23rd) because they "couldn't activate it". Ordered again at another store and it was immediately canceled because they "encountered an error processing". Tried 5 more times, 5 more cancelations (two more "error processing", then 3 "exceeded orderable quantity limits".
Talked to Best Buy CS and after an hour and a half, they discovered my account had been locked out and that it would be 10 days before the accounts department could look into it. They said I wouldn't be able to use a different account because they were tracking my IP address, phone number, credit cards, address, etc etc etc.
My wife simply opened a new Best Buy account and it went through immediately, picked it up this morning. We seem to have gotten the last 256 gold pro max in the bay area, at least for now.
Moral of the story, if you get canceled, don't try again with the same account.
Sales tax is higher if you bought online vs in store.
