You're referencing the T-Mobile deal? There is indeed a standard process by which the line level credits are migrated to account level credits so that you can continue to receive them on a monthly basis.

Which leads me to a question. So when these orders are placed online for store pickup, is the transaction basically already a done deal? Or can they later adjust the trade-in value?

When I picked up my 13 and handed over my pristine 12, the mobile rep barely even looked at it. I told him that I had already wiped it and reset it. He just glanced at the front and back of it for scratches, took out the sim, transferred it to my new 13, checked my ID, and that was it. I was done and out of there.

I thought it was strange he did not check the trade-in phone IMEI or scrutinize anything else for things like water damage, etc. Maybe they do that later in the process and then bill your account if the device is not what you said it was?

So technically the phone is an unlocked version already until you put a carrier SIM then it gets locked to that carrier? To get it unlock again then have to follow with that carriers policy?

It won't able activate SIM card oversea, that's US flex reseller activate policy phone.

I said the First time of Activate the phone with US Flex Reseller phone, if you purchase from direct from T-Mobile or already activated phone with T-Mobile SIM card then use oversea SIM card, that's different.

Unlocked phone can use any SIM card in the world, but the phone from Best Buy if you never been use and send to the oversea, system on the setup page won't allow you activate and stop there,

6) If you are asking if you have to open 4 lines, then the answer is in #1 from my earlier post. On the other hand, if you already have 4 T-mobile lines, then yes, you can trade-in 4 phones, one for each line. Good luck finding best buy with inventory, though.
7) I am not aware of port-in special at BB. Costco has BYOD/port-in until December 31st. In-store only.

My iPhone 12 mini was purchased where I would receive bill credits. I still owed 350+ on the phone but when I traded in today, Best Buy didn't say that I needed to pay off the phone. So I guess I'll still be getting billed (and receive credits) for the 12 mini? Thanks
