Maybe OP can update this so everyone is aware.
Also, how long one needs to stay with tmobile after porting in.

The reality is that there isn't a reason for the credits to stop. Nowhere in the original promotion did it say you had to keep the phone for the entire 2 years. If you break it, lost it, it was stolen, whatever doesn't mean that the credits would be invalidated.
In fact, logging into my account, I still see it listed:
Monthly credits remaining:18
Amount of monthly credit:$31.30
I have multiple lines right now receiving multiple bill credits for devices that I no longer own that I traded in during past deals while still on EIP. The credits are assigned to each line, or in my case, some are also on the account level when multiple credits exist. As long as I keep those lines active each month, I will continue to receive monthly bill credits as promised until the original promo term expires, thereby fulfilling the EIP agreement.
If I were to cancel those lines before that time, then I would lose any remaining bill credits and be forced to pay off the remaining balance immediately.
Not sure if that helped you or confused you more, but there you go.
- A fully paid off phone still receiving monthly credit.
- A phone might have gotten lost/damaged and still receive credit
- A phone got traded in still receive credit
TM does not know what is going on with "the phone", as long as you pay, or paid it off and do not owe them one penny, the monthly credit will go on for 24 months.
Good luck,
Dan
Google voice numbers are free to set up and gives you the choice to select a number based on your area code preference.
There is a one-time fee of $3 paid to google to unlock the number for porting.
Once unlocked submit a request to T-mobile. Your port in will be completed within 2-24 hours.
T-mobile does not charge any fee.
Thanks!
