You're referencing the T-Mobile deal? There is indeed a standard process by which the line level credits are migrated to account level credits so that you can continue to receive them on a monthly basis.

Coming from Freedompop then Ringplus and now Tello, I'm new to the major carriers/phone plans so I have some noob questions.

Ultimate goal: I want to have an iPhone 13 and use it on Tello. Is this even possible through this deal?

I ordered the prepaid Straight Talk iPhone 12 Mini from Walmart (took three tries because they kept canceling for "fraud" ugh).

- Do I place the order now for an iPhone 13 at Best Buy or do I have to wait until I have the 12 Mini in hand?

- At what point do I need to select a plan at Best Buy? (eg, when placing my order for the 13; when picking up the 13; some other moment in time)

- When I pick up the 13 and trade in the 12 can I leave it (the 12) in the original package? (If things don't work out I want to be able to just return the 12 to Walmart)

- I see that the 13 needs to be activated and active while I attempt to unlock through T-Force and may need to hold for up to 40 days. What would be the best plan to have the phone on while I wait it out? Or does "activation" not necessitate having a plan?

Thanks! Maybe we can sticky the answers in case others are wondering and don't want to dig through 200 pages ^^;

Quick question for those who are eager to get their phones unlocked ASAP. Now that BB offers the EIP option at check-out, why not buy it on EIP vs. cash, then pay off the EIP in the TMO account and it auto-unlocks right afterwards? The price would be the same but without the hassle of having to contact T-Force, submit proof of payment, wait a week etc etc.

Unless you trade in a phone that's still on EIP, of course, but even that should work?

My concern is I still have credits coming in monthly from my May TM trade deal. So I just wanted to keep it simple since paying the cash is an option in this case

For Iphone, I think you still have to contact TM to submit the request for you. It's not like android. It has a built in unlock function after you pay it off.

"If you have a locked iPhone that's eligible, Contact us so we can submit the unlock."
"Samsung: Settings > Connections > More Connection Settings > Network Unlock"

That is what it says under TM unlock policy on TM website.

Another thing to point out that Iphone is not auto unlock like Samsung or any other android devices after pay off. You still have to contact TM to submit a request to unlock Iphone.
