You're referencing the T-Mobile deal? There is indeed a standard process by which the line level credits are migrated to account level credits so that you can continue to receive them on a monthly basis.

Good luck!

Anyone with T-Mobile Business uising Tax Id able to do the deal on Best Buy?

I enter my phone number and last 4 of my Tax Id and it errors out. I confirmed I'm entering the correct information. I even tried with my SSN but still got the error

"Something's wrong. The phone number and last 4 of SSN combination you entered doesn't match carrier records. Please try again."

Thanks for the info ! could you elaborate on the "40 days or 90 days usage policy" ?

I can confirm the other way around . My T-Mobile locked phone picked up signals when mint and Tello sim was inserted. When I tried ting , the sim restrictions popped up as expected . Of course this is with phone still being locked to T-Mobile
So that right there means that the user who asked about Mint could just say to the BB folks "go ahead, activate it please", and then pop in his Mint sim a few minutes later and be done

It does, I had to open an individual account first before getting in on this deal. Paramount+ doesn't work with business account either…

I spoke on the phone with at&t prepaid. They said to call back in 6 months for unlock request so I said forget it then proceeded to Best Buy and did a phone exchange and inserted the T-mobile sim card.

For those of you doing the straight talk trade in, which carrier are you selecting from the carrier selection drop down?

yes... Tmobile locked devices in general doesnt have any problem picking up Mint mobile, Tello and other MVNO's which provides service with Tmobile as parent network. The real question here is with respect to Device unlock for moving to other carriers and who would be responsible party to take care of the device unlock request.

I am thinking about upgrading from 12 pro max to 13 pro max. Have a few questions.

I am the account holder but the phone is for my wife who is on my plan. Can she pick up the phone without me present. I assume once i log in to the cart and authenticate and buy the phone I am no longer needed?

How long does Best Buy give you to pick up the phone once it's in? Right now its backordered and it says December 17th estimated. But i will be travelling a lot in December so we may not be around once Best Buy is ready for us. Might take us a week or two get to the right store as we will be travelling to and from Florida often in December. If they tell me estimated pickup date is Dec 17th, I could technically get it on the 22nd but can't get it sooner as I won't be in the state. What happens if they get the phone faster, do i have to get it faster?

One more question, when does this deal expire? If I buy the phone to pick up in Florida for example with an estimated Dec 17th date, if my local Best Buy in NY has stock can I do the pickup in NY and get the same deal, even if the deal is then expired?

TIA.
Q1: no. Primary has to be present.
Q2: even I got December 17 as estimated but had one available lot sooner and they gave me a month to pick it up.

The 40 days duration comes into picture for the device unlock which is the standard Tmobile policy before you can request device unlock. The whole deal of Tforce unlocking the devices via Facebook/Twitter is something vague which contradicts their own policy and not sure how this will play out when people start cancelling the service immediately after the unlock ( This is a big unknown at this point as to whether or not there will be any implications)

Then 90 days is what some one mentioned int his thread that folks should retrain the service with Tmobile before bailing out to be in their good books. Again, this is another unknown where Tmobile will for take any action against the violators, if so , will it be user block via ssn or device blacklist via IMEI.

This is where the grey area is. As per the recent flex policy the device gets locked to the first sim inserted, but if MVNO sims are inserted, meaning mint mobile or so , they technically don't lock the devices and in this case how the phone unlock process at later point would work . Either the phone gets locked to the parent T-Mobile network which mint uses for service or mint coordinates the unlocking process ( highly unlikely ) or the device never gets locked to mint at all. The second situation is if you insert T-Mobile SIM card where the device gets locked to T-Mobile , you will have mixed experience. Either the tforce Will unlock the device within a week or so depends on your luck or they will give you hard time to retain the service for 40 days. In the happy path situation where you manage to get the device unlock within a week with T-Mobile , the next question is can you immediately cancel the T-Mobile service without any future consequences.. to the last part again there is no clear answer unless someone who already cancelled the service immediately after unlock chimes in . In either case this deal isn't too old for any one to witness what really could happen with T-Mobile if someOne immediately cancels the service before their 40 days or 90 days usage policy .
Tmobile receives the device info and the $125 diff is added to ur bill for 30 months so it's a retention play. Otherwise you get $775 for a trade on the 12 pro max not $975. I just picked up two phones one for me the other for the wife. We had 12s but to upgrade for $125 is a no brainer imo.

To your first question, I opened 2 individual Tmobile accounts for this deal. One , Trading in 12 pro max for 13 Pro max , which is under my SSN and another one Iphone 11 for Iphone 13 under my wife's SSN. My wife was not present for either placing the order or picking up the device. I had all the details including my wife's SSN and ID and the best buy rep allowed me to complete the end to end process including signing the terms and condition for my wife's order. Long story short , she wasnt asked to come at any point.

I think best buy allows 7 days to pickup once it becomes available. My order which was placed on Nov 21st for 13 pro max was initially showing pickup date of December 17th , but it become available on November 24th. There is a high chance that your device will available sooner than what is shown.

Your Q1 answer is not correct. It does not matter who the account owner or primary owner is. The person on the CC billing is the one that pick it up. If his wife is planning to pickup the phone, then use her CC to make a purchase.
