You're referencing the T-Mobile deal? There is indeed a standard process by which the line level credits are migrated to account level credits so that you can continue to receive them on a monthly basis.

Good luck!

Folks, I took the phone and inserted verizon sim instead. Any idea if it gets locked to Verizon now and can it be unlocked ?. It immediately got the signal from verizon
Well. Now you have to contact Verizon to get it unlock since it locked to Verizon. Sim card always has signal but the sim is inactive. Similar to your wifi router. You able to connect to wifi, but nothing being transmitted.

Actually I have inserted verizon sim that is active which is my other line and able to make a phone call. I have disabled Wi-Fi as well before making the call. I guess I will contact Verizon now

Since you already have service with Verizon, their unlock policy is 60 days! It auto unlock it for you after 60 days.

If VZ unlocks for you earlier then it's great; however, I wouldn't worry since you already have service with VZ and currently using the device everyday. Only worry when you don't have a service with them and the phone is locked to them..!

Which works perfect for me anyways. Rather than paying new monthly fee with t-mobile again. Thanks

Yup. I hear you. And as luck would have it,, I have a buddy with a blue pro 512 that he doesn't like-- he wants the mini. So,, if he decides to do a trade, gonna buy a 512 mini tomorrow morning! Whee
That's awesome and I hope it works out. If you do trade in for the 13 mini please let us know how it goes. if you're trading in a $299 iPhone 12 mini here are my experiences which I hope is helpful.

After reading some comments claiming;
1) Corporate sent out a memo advising BB employees verify carrier and lock status
2) Supposedly iPhone 12 mini value has dropped from $630 to $600

I have a few left and decided to roll the dice, again. This afternoon I visited a different BB and did another trade in which was super easy but with a few twists. First of all there was no wait which is highly unusual, the whole process was relatively quick and smooth, probably about 10-15 mins from start to finish.

The employee did ask which carrier, I said T-Mobile, iPhone 12 mini 64GB, they turned it on, wrote down IMEI, they were impressed with the condition it was in, hehe. Same stuff as before, I entered last 4 of SSN, they texted a 6 digit PIN to the phone # I'm trading in and they requested to see my drivers license. I wanted an iPhone 128 but they only had 256 for $100 more so I took it. As of 5PM today Trade in value was still $630, the difference to upgrade was still $269.99 and they had no problems waiving the $10 SIM card fee, they did not open the iPhone box which I was thankful for. They didn't take my picture and what's really weird is I didn't have to fill out the trade in forms which law enforcement uses. I used my primary phone # as the trade in, after leaving Best Buy I discovered my OnePlus Nord was dead, inserted the new BB SIM and it's working again.

I can confirmed active ATT sim work for unlock too. I just got back from Bestbuy with Iphone 13 ATT with iphone 12 mini trade in, $599 activate now plus $430 off 12 mini trade in final price $170 similar to Tmobile phone deal. Phone was activated in store.
1st unlock request on ATT portal I chose current customer got denied saying must be 60 days with them, 2nd request chose Not ATT customer also denied saying your IMEI number & device don't match, 3rd request using different email and different name this time, a few minutes later got an email "We approved your unlock request", I was so freaking happy because wasn't expecting that. pop in visible sim immediately works fine, it now show no sim restriction.
Are you saying you activated iphone 13 on t-mobile first and then put the ATT sim and got it unlocked?

I should have clarified- he bought his 13 Pro two months ago-- this would be me buying a 13 mini 512GB and trading in my XS Max, currently at $480 (down from $580). Wish me luck!

When you say write down IMEI. Was it the new iphone imei or the trade in iPhone mini imei ?
