You're referencing the T-Mobile deal? There is indeed a standard process by which the line level credits are migrated to account level credits so that you can continue to receive them on a monthly basis.

Can somebody confirm that in order to get the iphone unlocked (after TForce has processed the request) one must fully reset the iphone and set it up again ?

I was explained that it has to ping the Apple servers during phone set up for the unlock to actually be executed.

In the past, whenever I unlocked an iPhone, I had to reset it and restore from a backup.

I had never reset the iPhones I unlocked in the past (already did 4 Best Buy upgrades and have 2 more where Tforce submitted request today). The Carrier Lock status under General > About changed to "No SIM restrictions" once the unlock was approved. iPhone needs to be on Wifi to catch the unlock signal though.

Very correct.. all the step they tell you to reset and all that doesn't need it anymore. Whenever that "no sim restrictions" appear, then you're golden. When I first submitted and told it would take 2-3 days, I would check that setting like every 30 mins to see if it changed.

Does bestbuy charge tax on full price, atleast in CA, I see full tax, 13 mini costs $69+$51. I see only blue available that too 20 miles away but placed a pick up eventhough I want a diff color. I will get 12 mini tomorrow so after that I will hold on for a couple days to see if any other color becomes available nearby so I can cancel and re order or pickup directly for tradein.

can anybody tell me if tmobile unlimited text and talk only plan(20$/month) has additional charge? for example, sim start kit $25? hard pull or soft pull? I'm planing to get one before trade in.

In California, if you order and pay online, you will be charged on the full price of the phone. If you go into the store and do everything and pay there, then tax is only charged based on what you actually pay, i.e. the price of the phone after subtracting trade in value.

If you pay the remaining balance of the phone all at once say $200ish dollars, does that affect future t mobile upgrade for 24 months? or not, since they are not giving you a monthly equipment credit?
Sorry if dumb question. I searched and couldn't findit.

Nope they didn't charge me an upgrade fee. I paid online before I even came in for the order pickup.
