You're referencing the T-Mobile deal? There is indeed a standard process by which the line level credits are migrated to account level credits so that you can continue to receive them on a monthly basis.

Good luck!
Jon

So whoever used the ATT trick they are doing without being an ATT customer or else just using an inactive sim. Because i am thinking that the issue is only when you are a ATt customer and using that sim card to activate and then while requesting unlock its denying saying its not an ATT device.

I think you have to be Att customer. The portal asks you to input your ATT phone number, passcode.

Am having the same problem from yday .. I tried several attempts no luck .. called and chatted with bb rep also T-Mobile says everything is fine with their end and they were able to send short code without any issues.. Went to bb store in the evening and the rep tried, same issue. He called bb tech support team and told its a known issue from their end and told to wait for a day and try tomorrow . Am hoping morrow it ll work or else I have to visit store to see what they can offer? As the current promo deal is ending on 11/11..
were you ever able to resolve this issue. I have the same exact problem today.

I just got phone for my friend thru my t mobile account but he on Cricket.I used Att trick to activate and unlock phone for him.Trade in old iPhone 7 to 13 for $664 in NYC. Thanks for Att trick way convenient then wait days for t mobile to unlock the phone.

I'm wondering if they allowed to do more trade ins for the same number or they cut it off now?

For my 3 I always did non customer. All 3 unlocked fine.

It might be more of a hurdle if you put that you are a customer.

Possibly. Mine was from a go phone card insert. I think I bought and iPhone se 1st gen several years ago and it came with it. Luckily I still had the insert.

It probably would work but who knows. you would be the first to try it on metro. I have not seen any metro users post their experience on here. I have been in this thread since the start

http://att.com/deviceunlock/

Once you enter your information, they will send you an email. Be sure to click the link in that email to confirm the unlock request.

You should get another email saying it was approved in about a minute after confirming

Not sure if it just happened to me only (I dont know the reason why this error happened to me), but I did an upgrade on my t-mobile line.. the BB rep just gave me the SIM card without activation. I just gave the iphone to my family member.. activated on that line.. now I want to do an upgrade for myself... then I am getting "multiple orders found" error and it says I have a pending order to cancel first.. but there is no pending order... I hear the ATT unlock trick, but if that's done, I wonder if anyone else may face the same "multiple orders found" issue upgrading on the same line again? Somehow it flags the order has not been fully activated and treated as the BB order not completed or something? Would be good to hear any success story on multiple upgrade on the same line after using the ATT SIM trick.
