You're referencing the T-Mobile deal? There is indeed a standard process by which the line level credits are migrated to account level credits so that you can continue to receive them on a monthly basis.

Good luck!

Well if you want to be technical about it. TM will apply 40 days waiting if you want to unlocked your phone. It doesn't matter if you paid off or not! Some people here try to bailout after getting unlock for the new line they opened to get the deal!

Some got lucky that got unlocked right away. Some between 3-5 days. Some got denied because the phone hasn't been active for at least 40 days. YMMV
Well, again if you read the wiki, there is no 40 day obligation.

Read the wiki, T force twitter for the unlock! End of story

Well.. That is wiki

Here is from TM website.

"The device must have been active on the T‑Mobile network for at least 40 days on the requesting line."

Again, that has not been the experience of posters on here.

This att sim card unlock "trick" has led to people also sticking other sims

T force twitter unlock works like a charm

Thanks for the cut and paste

Is it also written anywhere about the att sim trick working?

You are correct. That's the official rule and couple of times I was told the same by T-Force. But I contacted again and another rep didn't care and eventually unlocked it. We just need to request politely and hope the rep will do us a favor.

Can you use the same line as "upgrade" for two orders? Or does each order need to go through seperate line?
YES - I've used the same line for multiple upgrade orders. Only two for me, others report four or more upgrade orders. This deal has been going since 9/17/21. I spread my upgrades over multiple accounts and phone lines to make sure I would not exceed any unstated limits. I saw a recent comment that said "two" is the limit but the integration was so shoddy back in September that I'm not sure they even have a shared record between BBuy and TMo.

You are paying for the phone outright, T force will unlock the phone no questions asked.

Not necessarily, You could be in 30 months agreement with Tmobile and still unlock your device. I have 17 lines from T-mobile, All of them under Magenta Max, the highest plan they offer, I upgraded all lines with 13 pro maxes and I unlocked all the devices and I sold half of them which helps me to pay my monthly bill.
It depends on the rep who you talk to and the reason for your unlock.
The main 2 reasons they could unlock your device is:- Your T-mobile network is very weak and so you have a backup line from a different carrier, Or you're in a vocation, military deployment.
How did you get a monthly credits? Do you mean monthly EIP charges? I heard lots of people talking about "monthly credits here but have no clue what they are or how I can get them.
Any help is appreciated.

No luck with trying to upgrade by using a new account of family member
If it is a post-paid account it should work. When you say "no luck" you should be more specific about where your ordering process failed out. I could never verify any family account via e-mail to T-Mobile - I always had to use text verification. Folks who can't receive the text message have recourse by asking TMo to turn on the blocked short message service.

This was a post-paid essentials account. I entered the last 4 ssn and verification code sent to the phone #. After this, bb said I need to be added as authorized user by the primary account holder to do the upgrade trade-inRoll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Folks who can be satisfied via bill credits are doing their deals with TMo directly because they can get more money back, over time. The early talk of bill credits was a paranoid fear that trading in a device associated with bill credits would stop those credits from flowing - but that was a fear and NOT a fact. There is now a "monthly payment" listed as the default ordering option. I did "activate today" on all my trade-ins and unlocked all but one - traded a 12 Mini for a 13 mini, one iPhone 11 for a 13 Pro, one iPhone 11 for a regular 13 and one iPhone SE 2020 for an iPhone 13. I think I am done, for now. Since I was planning to be a new customer for TMo as of my 55th birthday I was able to get $1000 of incentives through Costco and left $600 on the table because I did not know the deal would last 3 months so I did not want to take the time to start with Costco BYOD.

As for "why" a quick unlock is desirable - some folks know how to turn a fast profit and unlocked phones get you more on the local marketplace. That is "slicker" than what interests me. As long as I get good deals for family and friends I am satisfied. I tried the ATT unlock out of curiosity as the last of my phones is currently a "spare" since I did not load Applecare+ on all my purchases.

For those who did this deal to trade-in a straight talk iPhone 12 Mini from Walmart, heads up: Got a call recently from the Best Buy I purchased it and the manager stated that they're completing an audit of these trade-ins and that there were some unclear issues between Best Buy and T-Mobile with respect to the promo, because of which Best Buy automatically refunded me (this is true- I got a credit today for the full amount). And that unless I come in soon to the Best Buy and provide them a credit card to charge me the same promo amount again, Tmobile will charge me the full price of the phone traded in for. He emphasized however that this is unusual and they'll take care of it without any additional charges as long as I cooperate. Make of this what y'all will.
Is it a hoax you try to post or real?
It does not make any sense.
1) Tmobile customers signed a contract with trade-in amount and EIP monthly payment amount. No way in hell they can go back and say "we need to increase that monthly payment because we screw up our trade-in program with BB.
2) Lots of non-Tmobile people just created a new/temp T-Mobile accounts to get on these deals. What are they going to do? Send them a bill for it?

That is true and potentially quite easy. Your other choice if it is a single line account is to have the other person do the whole transaction and you simply reimburse them for their out-of-pocket costs. When done correctly this deal takes no time at all. You spend more time driving back and forth to the Best Buy than you do placing the order or trading in an already reset, good condition trade-in phone.

I see these posts with people trying to unlock using tricks and stuff

Why not read the wiki! Contact T-Force thru twitter with proof of purchase and IMEI and usually they can have your phone unlocked in less than 24 hours.

You paid for the phone outright and entitled to a legit unlock!

Why bother with these "tricks" and get stuck with a bricked phone!

I wonder why?
they are trying to avoid paying for the tmobile service since they are new customers. laugh out loud

I have personally unlocked via tforce as well as the att method.
No issues on my end.

Simple. Most of them are eBay or other sellers that got into this deal by opening temp TM accounts and trading straight talk phones from Walmart. Unfortunately, BB would either these drop the promos or make it unattractive for real TM customers.

Sooner or later they will realize not even 10% of the phones sold are in T-Mobile network.
