You're referencing the T-Mobile deal? There is indeed a standard process by which the line level credits are migrated to account level credits so that you can continue to receive them on a monthly basis.

Good luck!

Can u use att method to unlock any brand new iPhone? I believe answer is yes. Just confirming..
It depends. If you bought unlocked version from Apple directly, it's already unlocked. If you bought from carrier directly (e.g. TM), it's already locked to carrier (ATT SIM will not work with TM carrier locked phone).
For BB, the phone is FLEX policy which will lock phone to the first SIM. So you can activate it with ATT SIM, lock it to ATT and then unlock through ATT portal. But if you activate it with a non-ATT SIM (e.g TM), the phone will be locked to non-ATT carrier and ATT unlock portal will not work.

the answer is no.
it must be on flex policy such as Best Buy

for example, if you buy one of those cheap iPhones from straight talk/total wireless etc... this trick will not work.

Went for my second 13PM today, and the 300-lb gremlin I was working with took 2 hours to resolve order issues and was adamant that he inserted SIM to my phone. insert, he did. and now the phone is locked to TM. Because I had a long day, i said fk it and came home. Got on phone with TM and cancelled my other line. And called again to ask for an unlock for todays new phone. They said it hasnt shown up in their system yet and they would like me to try again in 3 days. Will try again next week.
It totally depends on store, I went to one store for 13 mini starlight, it is only store nearby has that color, the agent insisted to put sim in. I picked up 3 13/13 pro from another store, they were all handed to me unopened

Does anyone know what's the longest amount of time it took for people to get response from AT&T so far? And has it been positive or negative after such a long excruciating wait?
Ate you sure you clicked on confirm link in email, I had to click several times until I got confirmed message

Was able to do another upgrade. Had another max added to cart and ready for pickup. Decided to cancel. I already have max and that's enough for me. Still need to sell my extra xs max and xs'. Maybe another deal next iPhone.

yes I did and that's the reason it still shows pending even after 5 days. Clicked the link multiple times after the 24hr email came through and confirmed. Still waiting not sure why is mine an exception given mine is the similar to others in the forum in terms of the flex policy.

I guess all the people who signed up for the $20 plan will still get charged $20 in the final bill. T-Mobile doesn't prorate or refund from what I hear. My friend was only in the plan 9 days but he had to insert a sim on a Byod to generate a phone number and get the account signed up. I guess people who never set up anything online maybe you won't be billed.

I had same issue.
Looks like on my android phone, the confirmation link or status doesn't worked at all. When I check request status from my laptop, it says I missed to confirm my request so its in PAUSE state and I have to resubmit again. Since I tried to resubmit using my android last night, which didn't worked too, I have to wait for 24 hours to resubmit my unlock request.
Don't use android browser to confirm the request.

The issue I faced isn't the same. I had no problem confirming and the url link provided in the email to confirm within 24 hours invalidated itself after me successfully submitting the validation. It's just with the request pending so long without any status update.

Hey man.Nothing changed I tried to re submit unlock with different name and email but it tightened up to EMEI so I don't think there is way to fix it.We are one who is unlucky with that trick.I'm going to exchange both phones tomorrow and will do unlock with t mobile.

Does the AT&T sim card needs to have active service for unlock trick? Or we can just buy the sim card from microsoft store without activate the service on that?

The AT&T sim card does not have to be active. I used the sim card from Microsoft and was able to unlock it in instant.

Stores in my area don't have my model in stock and probably can't be exchanged. Better to use third party unlocks? Which one do people suggest. T-Mobile unlock would have been free of cost, now I have to waste money due to this flaky ATT trick that's either a hit or miss. Please report back how did the exchange go, if they were able to process an even exchange.?
