The i5 @ $399 is a good deal. 11th gen with iris graphics is more than id expect for that price. It's 1080p IPS. It can handle mid level gaming at good frame rate. You can upgrade the ram and add a secondary spinner drive for less than $75. I think this is an excellent budget laptop. I know someone who got the 17.3" version of this for $519 @BB and they're really happy.

Thanks for your question. No, this laptop uses a standard barrel connecter for charging. It cannot be charged through the USB-C port. This model does not support video out through the USB-C port. It has an HDMI 1.4 port for video output to a monitor.

I think the indian guy is talking about different model. There is no ethernet port on the BB model pic on their site.

I think the 8gb comes with dual 4GB dimms.... not one 8gb dimm

This unit from BB says NOT backlit. Model numbers are different, too.
I stop getting any non backlit laptop like 2 yrs ago. I work in the dark room and use my laptop in bed a lot. No backlit, no go. Also I avoid getting any silver color key laptop. They just don't show up as well with the white backlit.

Overall, this deal is getting warmer but in the grand scheme, featurewise it's still below last year HP 15in WM deal with the 4500u cpu (i am talking about the earlier built one that came with the backlit keys)... And that laptop had the good dark blue almost black keys so good for backlit.

I've found with the silver keys (I hate them too!) that if you turn the backlight OFF when in a well lit room, that the keys look fine. When in a dark room, turn ON backlight to see the keys. But silver keys with backlight ON in a well lit room makes the letters disappear.
