GameStop's new promo for Pro Members is they are matching the cash value of the Switch trade-in with the store credit. So you will get either $220 cash or $220 in store credit. Normal the cash value is less.

If you just want to sell your Switch and use the money else where to buy an OLED or whatever, this is not a bad option. It's easier than selling on Ebay, Craiglist etc.

Store credit is a payment type, it does not decrease the amount the sales tax is calculated on. Just like a gift card.

Receive $260 Store Credit(Gift Card) this evening with Pro membership.
Mine was a Switch v1 patched unit with all accessories including the original box.
I purchased both a Mario Kart 8(price match to Walmart) and Animal Crossing(price match to GameStop.com) and used the 1st-month rewards credit($10) along with a $5 Monthly Store coupon.

As a result, it ends with 2 new games(Mario Kart & Animal Crossing) and a $181.19 balance on the gift card for the upcoming purchase.

Traded a complete V1 Switch that my young child used for 4 years. The kickstand was messed up, the screen was scratched, and the joy cons didn't work so well. They took $50 off, marked it defective, and gave me $210 store credit with a pro membership. I'm reasonably happy with that outcome.

Saw website showing pro getting $220 store credit yesterday as well. Called the store and they said it was $260. I did end up trading yesterday and got $260 store credit

I just traded my Mario edition blue and red for $260 store credit today. The person who helped me said it would be $176 if i wanted cash. He said there was a promotion going on for more store credit. My receipt showed $40 bonus promo #27549 and bonus $20 for power up card 10%.

Yes 220, I'm thinking closer to black friday it will be a little bit higher...$250 maybe. Just saying that because of the chip shortage and how crazy everyone is still being around the xbox and ps5 shortages. People are going to buy what they can get, and I think gamestop is willing to only profit 50 bucks if it get people into the store and buying more games and accessories.
Side note: The Oled version...is....AMAZING!
Not only is the screen better (duh), it just FEELS better, the quality and tiny upgrades are pretty good. Worth 150 bucks....I mean people are already diving over themselves for a PS5 pro, and that'll be $200 more than the disc PS5.
