They go on sale frequently. William Sonoma, crate and barrel, bed bath and beyond, etc. what makes a good knife that lasts is the type of steel it's made from, the process in which they make it, and the material of the handles. Buy quality once and you'll never have to buy again.

Do yourself a favor and get quality steak knives such as J.A. Henckels. They have lower quality China made ones or Higher quality German made. Im pretty sure some quality ones are even made in Japan.

So basically made anywhere but "Imported"?
Any insight on what price that it would be considered a good deal for an acceptable quality steak knife?

Dear Anne, Stay tuned! 6 years ago we purchased 2 pricey Leather Couches from Art Van (a Midwest Furniture retailer). A dozen x's I instructed, I wanted the extended warranty. Less than a year, the seams Split,I was busy taking care of Husband (knee replacement). I called for service @ 13 months. Salesperson never added it to the bill, I gave the couches to people in Need & turned to Macy's & purchased the extended warranty. Husband got a costly recliner, it's seams have torn apart & lost color. The Warranty Co. tells me the chair falling apart is "NORMAL!" If Macy's stands behind all the $$ we spent, I'll continue to be Their Customer! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

IMO, if you don't mind the cheaper looking black plastic handles, just get some Victroinox steak knives from amazon, like these:

Might be they are closing out few stores or had more inventory from already closed stores they want to clear all of it.

I can only find the international versions on sale which are apparently made in China and rust easily
I couldn't get that code to work on anything in my cart. Most of my items were lowest of season so maybe that's why? I dunno...it had a million restrictions
