But to correct something you stated. The white border is the matting look which can be added to any picture you want. You can even change the color of that matting/border. From what I've seen you can create your own pictures by putting multiple family photos on it and having a matting all around them. I don't have the TV yet, but about 30 minutes of research gave me all the info I needed to make an informed purchase. The only thing I don't know is in-person performance and I have to wait for that…

I refused install because my wall has nothing on it so I need to hide the One connect box in wall. That I'm sure goes beyond what an installer would do. I ordered this media box to do it.

I was on the fence between the 50" Frame and the 48" LG C1 since I prefer OLED. Costco deal puts the LG at $1100. $300 more for 2" less, better PQ and better viewing angle but it lacks the art mode and can't be mounted flush like The Frame. I'll see how the Frame goes. If I'm disappointed with the quality, I'll return.
This is not my main TV. This is for my sitting room next to the kitchen and dining room. I have a larger OLED and projector for serious TV/movie watching. I wanted a solid picture when watching TV and for it to blend in when not turned on… I went with the modern teak bezel…

I had to create a samsung account and the 899.99 price popped up.
Also used their 0% financing for 48 months.
If you're in a bright room and/or burn in causes you anxiety AND thin form factor and the Art feature is important, then the Frame is your TV. If potential for burn-in is an issue for you and your use case increases that risk, but you aren't that concerned about the frames thin form and art feature, there are much better LCD alternatives that stack up better against OLED.
