I had e Thinkpad and lasted me a good time but my Thinkpad X did not last at all. Keyboard stopped working and screen corners went yellow. It was not better than consumer level ones. I guess to make it light they sacrificed many things. I am soryy but can not recommend x series of Thinkpad based on my experience. Just save some money and go with cheaper Thinkpads. They are still light really depending on size and what cpu they have. But not feather light.

Does this one have an ethernet port?
No, Lenovo has some proprietary port + dongle to be used for this functionality unfortunately.

CPU benchmark scores for the 5850 vs the Intel 11th gen (newest) i7-1185G7. This Intel chip costs $685 to upgrade on the Intel version of the X13 Gen 2 FYI

any idea what battery life is like?
anyone have advice on the battery life?

my thinkpad x1 gen 8 (i-7 10610u) with similar specs is terrible. 1.5 hours running in high performance mode, unusable in any lower performance mode.

I love these Type C charging laptop. But I'm so surprise no one have comment problem with the type C charging port fail over period of time. I have a Dell Inspiron 2-1 7390 and Dell XPS which i know it's not Lenovo but its type C.. After 2 years of use, they no longer take charge due to the type C jack going bad. After many research, seems like the only way is to desolder type c jack off the MB and resolder new Type C jack which they currently don't have the correct one to be install from Dell. Can someone correct me if im wrong ? Just watch some review on youtube on this laptop, is there only type c charging port and not the regular charging port ? I am just a little worry once charging port fail, this will become dead weight.. lol

Any concerns the resolution is too good? I'm looking for a desktop replacement to be used with a 4k external monitor but want to use it traditionally from time to time.

Assuming this isn't a 2in1 with a tablet mode...
Just set the dip to 200 percent and you will be fine.
