In for one. Looking to get my folks a replacement for their old old Vizio bar. It occasionally disconnects or goes to sleep and they have to manually turn back on the power which I know very much frustrates them. Does this bar have an auto wake feature?

it has an auto detect feature that automatically turns on when detecting an audio signal. i know that it does have an auto off feature if its not being used for a period of time as well.

no it does not but an optical cable will sound just as good when comparing to a hdmi cable. you can't tell an audible difference.

this is a great deal. I got the older version of same 2.1 refurbished from walmart 5+ years ago . . . still running without any issues.
