Why would you buy something from Amazon when you could support a business that specializes in the thing you're looking at buying?

Does anyone have experience with this model? The biggest complain I saw on amazon reviews are 1) damage which is expected on shipping a large and heavy item and 2) lack of seals which causes leaks in turn difficulty controlling the temperature. AG is using UPS shipping and I don't think the driver is going to be happy delivering this item.
Fwiw a good chunk of Amazon is small business as Amazon is just a distribution platform. Also, I'm all for supporting local/small business, but I'm not in the business of subsidizing their existence either. If it's nominally more I'll usually go small, but if it's a large purchase with potential for returns or exchanges, I choose my money and feeding my kids over feeding a business owners kids. Sounds harsh, but it is what it is and I would expect the same as a business owner. Have to compete, If not on price, then something else.

Its a saying. But I'm sure you knew that and still decided to be a smartass on an anonymous internet forum.
