So one of my units has micron vram - about a 12% power increase and 15% performance decrease vs samsung memory.... Not sure if mine is a lemon but every other 3070 Iaptop I have has had samsung memory and they perform much better. This will also translate over to gaming. Might want to check your vram.

I was able to pick one up from a local walmart.
Have to say the fan is soooo loud. I'm not a hardcore gamer but currently play Diablo 2 Res which isn't extremely GPU demanding and the Legion 5 can be heard from across the room. Have on quiet mode, messed with bios thermals etc and doesn't keep the fan from blasting.
I also ordered the Legion 7 slim deal from Lenovo, it will arrive tomorrow but am now reading it's even louder than the Legion5 Pro.

Did you set processor management from aggressive to disabled? Also , my experience playing D2R is that when playing at 60HZinstead of 165HZ, the fan noise is much lower since it's using only like half the GPU, instead of the full 140W. I didn't see a difference in performance and play switching between 60/165 Hz.

Your best bet at getting one of these is in store.

Got the last one in Asheville, NC and im damn glad I got it. Ended up getting Samsung VRAM on the 3070 so it hashes at 67 MH/s at +1800 on the memory. Good for about $5 a day, plan on mining the next 5-6 months at least. The extended warranty option for 2 years + accidental damage is only like $70 or something so its a no brainer.

The 3070 with that memory OC (plus core clock offset of +150) scored just a hair below a desktop 3060 Ti in firestike and Timespy. Kind of insane. Scored better than the 200 watt RTX 2080 in my old Asus ROG laptop that required 2 AC adapters! I even got 5% off using my Chase Freedom card. To put this in perspective, the median Timespy score for RTX 3080 mobile chips is 11129 , I got 11300 with that insane memory OC. So its performing about as well as most mobile 3080 chips. the 140 watt 3070 is an incredible performer with Samsung VRAM.

Probably the best price to performance laptop ive ever bought. The GPU and CPU scored better than a $4000 laptop from August 2019. (200 watt i9-9980HK + 200 watt RTX 2080)

Kind of crazy but this thing actually has the balls to push 2560x1600 native res at ultra settings. For $1400 you would not expect a desktop replacement type laptop but you absolutely could replace a desktop with this thing and run everything on high/ultra with RTX on at 1440p. Going to upgrade the RAM and see where that puts my Firestike and Timespy scores, they are already pretty great.
ETH 2.0 most likely comes in February.

OMG, why it kept showing "Delayed, check back for updates" status for me man Frown Ordered on Oct 22.
Mine still says delayed and now says delivered by Nov. 19th, but now has a FEDEX tracking number being shipped from OK. I ordered on the 23rd. So looks like they may be shipping. Also got a 4 dollar refund. I'm not sure what that is for.

They actually pushed it back and said the end of mining would be around June 2022.

I got $15 coupon when I contacted live chat to see why order isn't shipping yet.
