On another note, apparently Netgear makes you pay for tech support after 90 days to actually use your warranty. That was a no go for me.

Have had the Orbi setup for a couple days now with no issues. The XT8 had more configuration/options, but those aren't good for anything if the system isn't stable first. Plus for around the same price, it's 3 nodes instead of 2.

You're a tool
You would think with mesh systems part of the appeal is they're modular, especially at this price.
May just buy and return.

This is the dude you see on January 1st returning his Christmas tree. 🤢
Very powerful, though it's gotten disconnected a few times...that may have more to do with my awful Spectrum service than the router.
Two major downsides:
1. Really ugly...looks like a medical device.
2. 90 day phone support, which is a joke for a $500+ router. I had issues after about 6 months, and they wanted me to pay another $79.xx for warranty support.

I own the older model which I had to do some work to separate networks (at the cost of not upgrading devices)
Reason for separation: iot devices that only support 2.4 . I was experiencing drops as the router was working to direct traffic to the correct band
