On another note, apparently Netgear makes you pay for tech support after 90 days to actually use your warranty. That was a no go for me.

I ordered one this morning and am hoping it helps my current setup. I am currently running a Nest Router + Nest Point + Google Wifi puck. Router is on main level of the house and Point is upstairs. Puck is in basement media room with a couple things hardwired to it. Upstairs is fine but in basement with it running through a couple walls and the ceiling, neither the Puck or Point could pull much better than 75 Mbps.
I have CenturyLink gigabit internet that consistently has great speeds from Router.

Does it mean we have longer technical support?
The one that looks like a crazy spiderx

I want to know for sure if this is a step up and the number of devices that can handle.
I once paid the extra amount and I also had one of those warranty packages on top of the device I purchased.
Then a couple of years later when I was in a different state I found out that it is very subjective and dependent on the customer service person, they didn't take mine back or replace it!
No more Best buy since then they've lost a lot of sales from us.

And if you want to config your router or do more things with it. I'll go with Asus XD4 to get more features and stability.
If you already have Cat6 wired through your house and your internet speed like that. My experience is using "dual-band" and wired to get powerful speed.

I own the older model which I had to do some work to separate networks (at the cost of not upgrading devices)
Reason for separation: iot devices that only support 2.4 . I was experiencing drops as the router was working to direct traffic to the correct band
The Deco M9+ pack that was $160 was a consideration, but I'm not a fan of TP-Link's app based management or cloud account privacy concerns. Same goes for Eero and Google/Nest.
