Come on. You returned what you bought 4 years ago and are proud of it?

Go with the Asus. I've tried both and got much better coverage from the Zen.

On another note, apparently Netgear makes you pay for tech support after 90 days to actually use your warranty. That was a no go for me.

I've used ORB's they are bad. Works very great initially, but after a year device doesn't work. The wi-fi speeds degrade for no reason. You wired speeds would give you max speeds, but wireless drops to 25%. There are a lot of discussion on reddit and other forums with no solution.

Moved to a EERO PRO 3. Very happy with it. My Wifi-speeds have improved a lot and get reliable speeds all the time.

Have had mine for well over 2 years and it is just as good as day 1. Maybe one of your orbis was bad, maybe you got interference or maybe some settings were changed but orbi is phenomenal

guys i have this system with the cable modem/router and 2 satellites if anybody is interested in buying it from me. It's in perfect condition and was only used for 6 months. I switched to the comcast xfi setup because this modem can only handle up to 800gbps. I'm on a much higher plan.
800gbps ????

I had the 3-pack TP-Link Deco X60 router before from Costco for $250. I just got these and set it up. Based on initial impressions I don't see any improvement in terms of coverage and speed. I see some additional configuration settings, which I don't see a need for frankly. I am already missing the parental controls of the Deco, which, even though basic serves my need. I need to get the Circle app ($10/month) to enable it on the Orbis. I don't think I am going to shell out that much for something that I was getting for free.

This is most likely going back to Costco.

No separation of bands, unfortunately.
Wondering if https://youtu.be/tEgVG8rR5o8?t=330 works for separating the network

I have starlink so I don't have crazy speed yet. I am more concerned with range. I need to get internet in the back yard. Which mesh system is best for me?
TIA

I have the original Google Wi-Fi mesh router (3-pack) and it works fine, but wondering if the Orbi will produce better results on my 1 GB internet speed at home? I don't want to have something slower in the end.
how's your google Nest mesh working on 1Gb network?

I have the same on MetroNet, constantly having below 100mb downloading speed while upload is 900mb, could not figure out why. I am thinking about if I need to change to Orbi or not

I've had my RBK752 for 2 months now that I bought from Staples and it's been rock solid while doing multiple streaming and watching Youtube 4k HDR videos. Only complain I have is that the bandwidth meter gets reset whenever you power cycle the unit (have had a couple of power outage in the last month or so).

Getting 900 Mbps on Xfinity 800 Mbps service here in SF Bay Area.

Received today and set it up. App was a bit finicky on initial setup but now that I'm up and running it is a massive improvement over my previous Nest Router + Nest Point + Google Wifi puck. Was topping out around 90 mbps previously in same basement satellite placement and now up to 677 mbps. Love the upgrade.

I'm returning it. I get random dropped packets between the satellites and Router and random reboots. Apparently they can't get their shit together with firmware. Works great other than the packet loss

The 90day tech support doesn't apply to Costco members and Costco purchase. Apparently Costco paired up with Netgear to offer 24/7, 1 year technical support. It's mentioned on the product box. Dedicated line is 1.888.228.4719

Additionally don't forget mfg warranty extension (not technical support) by purchasing with Costco credit card.

I grabbed a couple of these for above reasons, but have yet to install!
