FYI: Supports boundary strips unlike the basic G30 unit

If you're wondering, there's little difference between this bricks and mortar store model and the Edge which is sold by Eufy on Amazon for $269: The top color is different, and the verge comes with a single boundary strip as opposed to two like the edge. Other than that, they are identical.

Trust me when I say that you need the mapping if the area you're using in is a decent size. It makes these things so much more useful. The non-mapping leaves dirty spots here and there and would drive you crazy.

I have the Eufy 30c. The first year it cleaned pretty well when it was not getting stuck on something which was frequently. I would have to empty the bin daily which was always full of dust after a days cleaning. There are a few issues with these vacuums. The biggest issue is the roller which wears out the parts on the vacuum side. I called support and they basically told me it is a bad design that they don't have plans to fix. If you don't mind throwing out the vacuum and buying a new one every one to two years this may work for you. My vacuum now sits unused in the corner of the room until I can replace it with a Roomba J7+. The second biggest issue with this vacuum is that it gets stuck constantly under furniture even with the strips laid down correctly. It also gets stuck on random things left on the floor. Be prepared to do a full scan of the house every morning to pick up anything left on the ground. Kids toys, socks, rugs, etc.. It rarely went a full cleaning without getting stuck and having to be carried back to the charger at the end of the day.

I also have a 35C. You can get a replacement roller brush, filters, and the front sweep brushes cheap from Amazon. My battery died after 3 years use, got one from Amazon for $17., works fine now.
Yeah, it will get stuck on stuff if you leave it laying around, like the laces on my shoes, but any robo vac will. About ~75% of the time it finds its way back to the charger. The charger should be placed in a spot where it can easily find it. Granted sometimes that's not easy.

For $149 I am going to bite. While I think 129 would be a slick deal I think 149 is a great price for what youre getting - provided it works. Which brings me to my question. Should I add the extended warranty on this? I never do that but am wondering if I should. It's $18 for 2 years or $24 for 3 years. It says it covers:

Mechanical & Electrical Failures
Item Failures During Normal Use, or from Normal Wear & Tear
Other Common Malfunctions

Is it worth to spring a little more or is this pretty reliable? Thanks!

I'm not going to tell you generally if warranties are a good idea, but I will tell you my experience with Walmart warranties on non-electronics.

Basically as long as you're past your manufacturer warranty (1 year most cases), they'll ask you to visit a Walmart store for quicker service or you can do the thing online if you want the ship and replace route. I generally always recommend going to the store, since they'll literally just replace the item on the spot at the customer service center or cut you a Walmart gift card for the original amount if they don't carry it anymore. Going the gift card route always guarantees the least amount of headache for you and the employee(s) helping you.

Just a heads up though - most credit card companies offer an additional warranty for products bought using the card. You just go through a claims process and they'll usually offer you statement credit or reimbursement credit (up to the amount of purchase) if you bring it to a reputable repair center. Check your specific CC for details.

I had an E5 Roomba that was a gift. It was basic but our first robot vac. My dog had an accident and the Roomba spread crap all over my house... We have recovered from the trauma but the Roomba had too be trashed. Would this be an decent alternative to the E5?

Bed skirts that reach almost to the floor. Both of our Eufys steer clear of under our beds.

Regardless of price I think you get 2-3years out of robot vacuums tops, unless you're consistently good about cleaning up hair, filters, etc etc. if they'll flat out replace when the thing dies with an extended warranty then I'd say it's a decent buy.
