"Fidelity Cash Management Account
Better than traditional checking, a Fidelity® Cash Management Account offers attractive rates and easy cash management."

Yeah, no thanks.
Not if you're an existing customer. Maybe if you're new, but I did it with the Spire offer and this just now and no hard pulls either time.
Do I have to keep the $100 cash reward at Fidelity once I receive it?
Yes. While you don't need to keep your initial deposit of $50 in the new account for more than the qualification period, you must keep the $100 cash reward (minus any losses related to trading or market volatility, or margin debit balances) in the eligible account for a minimum of 90 calendar days starting from when you receive the reward.

Opened new Roth IRA.
Immediately funded with $50 from Fidelity checking.

It's a cash management account. Nobody ever said it is a high yield savings account. And nobody says "rates" exclusively means interest rate. I don't know what the problem is. Just like nobody complains about the lack of ability to earn rewards on a Chase Slate card.
What is the commission rate for buying and selling stocks? I heard Charles swab will be charging a fee. This might be a good time to open an account
I've been with Fidelity since the mid 90s (when my parents helped me open an IRA in high school) and their commissions have slowly gone from $25 to zero for most orders.
YMMV, there are probably order limits and/or account size constraints or something like that. But I trade about once a week and pay zero for both ETFs and stocks. Market orders only, no special conditions.
Interesting...well, when I tried to open another account it told me I was ineligible because of one of 4 things, the only one that could apply to me was "already received promotion"...
I just emailed them...maybe if its because I didn't enter the promo code they can make it right, but instead of beating around with it like I normally do, I figured I'd just ask and then let it be.
I did the same thing. You need to call Fidelity and have them delete the account. They can't add the promo once you create the account. I did this and I just opened a new account with the promo code and got an email a couple of minutes later saying I was getting the promotion.
Tried opening a ROTH IRA with them but keeps telling me "We're sorry, but we were unable to confirm your identity based on the information you provided". Anyone else have this problem?

They can't verify information (social security number maybe) or you have a roth ira with them or maybe you are over the age limit (70 1/2 to open roth or regular ira).

But cannot see this account in my portfolio. Very weird.
How long does it take for it the show up?
