Yeah, no thanks.
Not if you're an existing customer. Maybe if you're new, but I did it with the Spire offer and this just now and no hard pulls either time.
Do I have to keep the $100 cash reward at Fidelity once I receive it?
Yes. While you don't need to keep your initial deposit of $50 in the new account for more than the qualification period, you must keep the $100 cash reward (minus any losses related to trading or market volatility, or margin debit balances) in the eligible account for a minimum of 90 calendar days starting from when you receive the reward.

You have to link your existing bank account to the new cash management account. In that same pulldown at https://digital.fidelity.com/ftgw.../transfer/ and select "Link a bank to a Fidelity account".
Thanks. That did it for me to get the $100 reward email. Funded my account.
1) Attempted to login but account was blocked due to some hack a while back with the company. Had to call a phone number to unlock my account. Took about 15 mins.
2) Came back to this post and used the links provided. Signed up to their Fidelity Account since I like investing. Easy sign up process. Took about 5 minutes. No credit was pulled for me.
3) After 10 mins of opening the account and updating my settings for the profile and downloading the app, I linked my bank account. Deposited $51.
4) After 10-15 minutes I got an email saying: " Thanks for registering for the $100 cash reward. As a reminder, you have up to 15 calendar days to deposit $50 or more to qualify.
You'll receive the $100 cash reward within 25 days after you opened an eligible account."
5) Waiting for any other update and will post if there is — thanks OP!!
Already got brokerage, 401k, roth IRA with them. Just opened a new brokerage account via the link without entering the promo code. Got $100 reward email instantly. Thanks!
Anyone knows if Vanguard ever offers similar cash rewards for opening accounts?
I don't remember they have one. Just open fidelity and get that $100. If Vanguard does offer in the future, just open another one. Diversification. I personally have Fidelity, M1 Finance and Robinhood. I tried to open a Vanguard account but their website sucked, it showed up errors on PC + mobile + app.
Still hasn't received the email (can confirm the promo code was there at submission) and I funded the account right after the account was opened...
Anyone else still waiting for the email to arrive?
Fidelity would be seeing many $51 deposits today! Thank you OP! Just opened one, received the email. I think you get email only after linking and imitating deposit.

I got it instantly after signing up and before deposit. You may want to check the Spam/Junk box. Title: Registration confirmed: $100 cash reward

I'm still waiting. Its been almost 6 hours since I opened up the acct.
This is the only email I received 5 hours ago, I went thru the link and linked and funded my new account immediately. The code was present for the first few pages of the sign up process. I have an existing 401k and opened a Roth IRA. Guess we will wait 25 days and see.

On Reddit, Fidelity is saying this can take up to a day.

Edit: Hmmm but this is over $10 so then you would get a 1099.
Its all electronic, so not a huge burden the 1099.
You still get a 1099 if it's a Roth IRA?
