Yeah, no thanks.
Not if you're an existing customer. Maybe if you're new, but I did it with the Spire offer and this just now and no hard pulls either time.
Do I have to keep the $100 cash reward at Fidelity once I receive it?
Yes. While you don't need to keep your initial deposit of $50 in the new account for more than the qualification period, you must keep the $100 cash reward (minus any losses related to trading or market volatility, or margin debit balances) in the eligible account for a minimum of 90 calendar days starting from when you receive the reward.

I had an existing 401K account. Signed up for new Investment account with the Promo code added in. Deposited $50 thru bank account. That was 10pm last night. So far no confirmation email.
The link in the "original post" does not auto populate the code, but the link in the top most post does.
I had use the URL from the "original post" link and actual missed the deal!

I've just opened 2 "The Fidelity Account" for my parents and both got the $100 cash reward email within minutes.
I opened 2 "Fidelity Cash Management Account" for me and my wife, yesterday and today respectively. I also had a The Fidelity Account already, but she doesn't. We're both still waiting on that confirmation rewards email. I even funded these 2 accounts with $50 already. So I will call the Fidelity CSRs right now because this does not make sense.

I opened (2) cash management accounts yesterday for the wife and I but I have not received any emails about the $100 bonus and it's been a little over 24 hours. The link was already populated with the code so I know it was done correctly.
opened a Fidelity Cash Management Account, can I transfer from my existing trading account or does it need $50 from my bank?
edit: internal transfer works, received email
subject: Registration Confirmed: $100 cash reward
doesn't matter, youre getting the information confused. of course the internal transfer will work (complete) but that doesn't mean it triggered the bonus. read the email more closely again. you still need to put non-fidelity money in your account. only a broke person would forgo transferring $50 into the account (other than a transfer from an existing fidelity account) and risking not getting the bonus.
Even though I haven't received a confirmation e-mail about the promotion since I signed up about 18 hours ago, if I try to open another new account following the link in the OP, I get the following message:

:
We're sorry—it seems you're not eligible for this promotion
You can continue opening this account, but the promo code cannot be used.
Possible reasons may include:
The promotion has expired
You are a Fidelity employee
You are associated with a financial institution
You have already used this promo code
I'm certain that none of the first three reasons apply to me, so I assume that the promo code was applied successfully when I initially signed up despite not yet receiving a confirmation email.
It seems to me that they are just having some issues with the promo email confirmation, with some people getting the email instantly and others having to wait hours or days.

Besides the emails confirming the account was opened, I haven't received anything with regards to the $100 bonus
