FYI this deal is hackable. If you don't need either the tool or battery kit you can select in store pickup for the one you want and ship to home for the one you don't.

After you place the order you can cancel the ship to home through the home depot website and you get your tool for whatever price it shows.

The router comes out to $99.50 if you hack it

All of the Flex volt advantage tools (20v) are supposed to be able to use the higher wattage output per time frame of the 60/20v batteries, but what they don't tell you is that you need either the 9amp 60/20, or an 8amp 20v to see any difference. In fact, many of the Flexvolt tools like the circular saw shipped with an 8amp 20v.

It has to do with the larger 21650 cells vs the smaller 18650 cells as in the 5amp, as well as more of them in larger amp batteries.

for anyone looking to pick up that reciprocating saw, it's pretty massive FYI. i picked it up tonight and with the battery is about 13 pounds, it's a job site saw for sure. I'm gonna return and keep an eye out on their compact one

You can mount basically any circular saw to it as long as the base has decent spots to put the screws. I have a Kobalt circular saw that I planned on using but the magnesium base has too much webbing.

The Dewalt looks like it has a flat aluminum base so it should work nicely
How is that worth 3x the cost of the Kreg Accu-Cut?

For anyone planning to get the router and not hacking it, the Milwaukee combo for the same price is a better deal. The Milwaukee router is higher rated and comes with dust port, two bases, and edge guide. Dewalt comes with nothing extra and those things cost more.

It's closer to 2x the price when you're looking at the 8ft kits. It has substantially thicker track, can get additional mounting plates for things like a router, and gets really good reviews. Honestly I don't know if it's worth it to everyone but is is worth it to me.

A better deal at Lowes with 20% coupon stacked. The Home Depot deal is only good if you intend to keep one and return the other (aka hack).
Really don't see a big difference between 4ah/6ah battery kit versus 5ah/5ah battery kit. Both kits include the same charger. The 6ah may come in use for heavier applications but can always be found separately cheaper during other times of the year.

Unless you're doing some major DIY or going semi-pro I don't think you really need more than the Kreg. Your $$ is your $$ but provided you set it up correctly, the Kreg can make some damned accurate cuts. I'd say the first thing anyone should do if they are planning on track cutting is to get a good circular saw - lots of people complaining about Kreg are using some HF special POS.
