FYI this deal is hackable. If you don't need either the tool or battery kit you can select in store pickup for the one you want and ship to home for the one you don't.

After you place the order you can cancel the ship to home through the home depot website and you get your tool for whatever price it shows.

The router comes out to $99.50 if you hack it

Jigsaw is great. Best one on the market imo. Lots of comparisons online as well that point to this one being the best one.

This was one of the first free tools that sold out during last years promo. Would definitely go for the jigsaw if you don't already have one.

Does anyone know if the tools that are sold out for this promo will restock, or once they are sold out that is it? I wanted the DeWalt jigsaw. I'm on the Makita platform and already have most tools in the DeWalt promo but wanted a brushless jigsaw and Makita's I hear has problems issues.

Just an FYI. I added the tool on the page went directly to pay with PayPal at the bottom and got an email confirmation but noticed there the tool i selected was not on the email. I called Home Depot and they confirmed the tool did not get added. There is a bug where the tool wont get added if you skip the check out process. You must add the tools to the cart before you use PayPal to check out. Had to canceled the one order and reorder by adding tools to cart.

Just wanted to give a heads up for people like me that run thought the motions not paying attention. I'm lucky i noticed. Hate for people to receive their orders just realize the tool was never added.

The 573 is a better saw than the 570. They will both work with and get the same amount of power from the lower amperage batteries, but the 573 will have more power if you use the higher amperage or flexvolt batteries.

You can return either.
When you add the 2 items to your cart, you will see how the price is split between the battery set and the "free" tool.

I was just able to do it.
From what I've read in different SD threads for similar sales is that you have a small window to cancel. Some say it's 30 minutes, some say it's only 5 minutes.

Either way, you can return it to the store (or just not pick it up if it was sent to the store.)
More of a hassle I guess, but at least there is that option
