Great set. The tiny sqaure is very handy.

Just a heads up write your name on these sqaures bc ppl will borrow it all the time when on a project.
It just holds the pipe up off the work surface. It's like the "lanyard hole" of the Multitool world.

I got these last year and the price and finish were great. However, when checking for square, I did the line test and both small and big were out of square. I returned them. Ymmv. I invested in a small DFM square off amaz*n (albeit multiple fold more expensive) since I still needed to square up my miter saw. Much happier.
Thank you so much for this comment. I've been using my square for this purpose and that may be why my cuts always feel off by 1/2 to 1/8 a degree. .. I need to go check now.

That's literally what I did. Both of mine were out of square and the stamping was cheap. And bought the DFM, both actually. Cost far more but it's reflected in the quality.

If you are talking quality, they don't. The Milwaukee has a really nice finish but the Swanson is a better quality tool. If you want 4" square Johnson sells one that is better for $11.

To help those comparing. Milwaukee sqaures are slightly modified Empire sqaures. Milwaukee tool bought Empire Level Corp a few years back and basically painted there line up red to add it to the Milwaukee name. They still sell Empire stuff as well but if you put them side by side you'll see they are from the same manufacturer.

And they lowered the quality. I have the blue empire and it's a better machining than the Milwaukee. My boss has the same blue one but older and it's better as well.

These are speed/carpetenter square. Good for lay out angles for cutting studs, stringers, etc. Not designed for fine woodworking, not to say to calibrate 90 degree -- bet on those $50-$150 squares for calibration

Exactly. I remember buy those 50' green outdoor cords (xmas ones) for like a $1 in walmarts. And all those tools, decor after xmas, thanksgiving.

I'd also like to know the difference in quality between this $3 Harbor Freight square and the one in this deal. https://www.harborfreight.com/4-i...63185.html
I own the Harbor Freight square and am trying to resist the urge to buy the Milwaukee set!
