I've had these for a couple years now, granted you get what you pay for and they're pretty cheap to start with, but after only about a month or so the adjustable functionality stopped working. They're not terrible at the lowest adjustment but would be much nicer if they held the speakers a bit higher. Speakers I'm using are only 3lb each.

That's how I set up mine now. But I feel the sound is coming too directly into my ears when im sitting near one of the speakers. I think it would be better to have the height a bit higher than above ears level.
