This RIDGID comes with a 12-volt power cord (connects to cigarette lighter thingy), so you can have best of both worlds and not have to open your hood.

I worked at Depot for many years. For both being Home Depot exclusive tools, we always considered Ridgid to be better quality.

Ridgid also has lifetime service. Just register the warranty, and if you have any issues you're supposed to be able to get it to a nearby service center and get it repaired for free.

Most of that post is incorrect.

Individual batteries are now covered. You can get service at most Home Depot rental centers. I haven't had to physically mail in a receipt in well over a decade. Uploading/emails work just fine.

How about you leave the Ridgid commentary to people that actually have personal experience with Ridgid rather than spreading rumors and misinformation?

how is this deal rated compared to the ryobi one (for $20)?

ignoring the price, would rigid inflator be better than ryobi?

I can't help but think I made a mistake buying Dewalt tools. The inflator is never available for a good price.

Will it reseat a tire? (edited to add question, replied to wrong comment)

No. I have it and tried reseating a tire on my dolly. Had to pull out the pancake compressor to get it back on properly. That said, I love this tool. I use it all the time on bikes, and even on the cars when the weather changes. A 1.5 amp hour battery was enough to add five pounds to each of my four minivan tires. This is definitely money well spent.

It was in a combo pack with the hand vac. That's when I picked it up. Really like them both. Inflator is great for around the house and quick fills of kids bikes and basketballs. https://slickdeals.net/share/iphone_app/t/14969279

Imo I would get a 12v one that you can connect directly to your battery, unless you want to carry around the tool and the 18v battery charged in your car all the time.

Anyone know duty cycle of this inflator or time from flat to 32 psi on a passenger or truck tire?

Solid tool and solid deal. Definitely a no brainer if you need an inflator and are in the Ridgid ecosystem. I use it a lot. Bikes, wheel barrows, cars, trailers… battery lasts a while too. I use 4ah batts with it.
