Ridgid also has lifetime service. Just register the warranty, and if you have any issues you're supposed to be able to get it to a nearby service center and get it repaired for free.
Individual batteries are now covered. You can get service at most Home Depot rental centers. I haven't had to physically mail in a receipt in well over a decade. Uploading/emails work just fine.
How about you leave the Ridgid commentary to people that actually have personal experience with Ridgid rather than spreading rumors and misinformation?

If you're not planning on getting any other cordless tools then it might be a bit pricey (battery/charger/tool combo is on sale for $99 right now). Unless you're planning on using often, then it might be worth it.

I speak from experience as my first tool system with Ryobi (when they had cadmium rechargable batteries). Second was a Rockwell (so I have Rockwell batteries and charger) and third was a Black and Decker (ditto on the batteris and charger). Now I just stick with Milwaukee tools (M12 or M18) due to the following reasons:
1. Quality - their tools are considered pro-line tools used by professionals
2. Signifant tool options within their battery line (whether it's M12 or M18)
3. Tool availability (you can get all your tools at local stores like Ace and HD)
4. Sales (tons of SDs on their tools)
5. Company reputation - release new, better tools all the time, have good CS support, good warranty support and do very well with comparison testing vs other tool lines (DeWalt, Makita, Ridgid, Ryobi, etc).
I wasn't speaking directly to you per se, but I thought it prudent to chime in when posters suggest that individuals purchase a bare tool which necessitates them to then turn around and start investing in that tool's battery system without really taking stock on the pro's and cons of adopting a company's battery system.
That being said, I think this RIDGID inflator is decent (not better per say then anyone's elses), but IMHO the RIDGID 18V line is wanting and not worth investing in this $50 bare tool, especially with BF right around the corner.
