Second, at $29, it's the best value of any warranty, as like you mentioned it covers accidental damage - which is highly likely with fragile ear buds.
Finally, everyone, STOP ABUSING COSTCO'S RETURN POLICY for God's sake.
Who returns headphones, especially during COVID? GROSS
So ill just not buy any

Even though it already has magnetic induction
- I can return my AirPods Pro with a non-MagSafe case to Costco anytime and buy the updated ones instead since headphones are not covered by the 90-day policy. I won't be doing that now since I bought mine cheaper than $190 and I'd rather buy the new ones from Costco again. But would definitely consider if the price drops there as well.
- I also purchased the AppleCare+ thinking that It's good to be covered for 2 years in case they die or the battery gets bad or whatever, plus it's cheaper at Costco. But I would probably be just fine with Costco's return policy alone. Though one extra benefit of AppleCare+ is accidental damage coverage, so it may or may not be still worth it.
I did some research bet feel free to let me know if I'm wrong.
I have the AirPods Pro with the original wireless case and charge them all the time on the MagSafe puck.
Not sure what the difference is, unless you need to feel the magnet working.

The thing not to forget is that wireless is a sacrifice still (doesn't necessarily have to be) but I've had several pairs of Sony and Klipsitch (sp?) over the years that were much better sounding at about half the price.
Returns:
4a. Price matching.
