I know I'll get down voted and I'm not trying to say this is a good deal or no, but I needed a stand mixer to knead my bread and ended up buying a no name one from Amazon warehouse when they had their 40% coupon and I paid $35. It kneads great! Will it blow up? Is it more noisy? Does it have less attachments and accessories? Maybe but I does what I needed for $35.
I just wanted to share.

I think if you're making light batches, stick with this one and save $70. Or for about ~$100 in savings, use the following:

A.) Amex deal, $25 credit if you spend $250 or more.
B.) Chase 5% Cashback via PayPal checkout.
How do you get Chase 5% CB via PayPal. Paypal offers or Chase offer?

It's part of their 5% Quarterly rotations. I have the chase freedom card and after activating the offer, I placed the purchase via PayPal and made sure my CF card was selected

Which Amex card is it on? I don't see a BestBuy offer on the page.

The 6 has a more powerful motor, which is great if you intend to use any attachments in the future.

It's a mixer. It mixes dry and wet ingredients alone or together.

Google "Kitchenaid mixer recipes" for ideas. Here's 104 recipes for a mixer...

https://blog.williams-sonoma.com/...and-mixer/ [williams-sonoma.com]

It can mix up a batch of batter but you may more easily overmix the batter and end up with heavy and chewy pancakes. Clean up may be more as well. Somethings are better done manually. Unless you're feeding an army and then an industrial mixer comes in handy. (pun intended)
Thanks for the link. I bookmarked it!
Alright i'm sold, I'm down to get one.
I'm assuming you can let the dough rise straight in the bowl too.
I've been eye'ing one for a while but was always turned away from the higher prices.
Thanks for the feedback!

Yes, as long as the mixer bowl is stainless steel or glass. Yeast can react with some metals. The Pro 5 Plus and Costco Pro 6 mixer bowls are both stainless steel.

One thing to consider is if there is enough room in the covered mixer bowl for the dough to rise. If so then you are good to go.

My mixer came with a booklet that discusses maximum ingredient volumes, like for flour, which speed to use, and the accessory suggested for the task at hand. Helpful.

Something to consider - if making bread is a primary reason for a mixer, and depending on how often you will make it and the heaviness of the dough, you may be better off with the Costco Pro Series 6 with its more powerful motor.

The link is to a review of the Pro 5 Plus by a lady who knows her mixers well. She also does a review for the Pro 600, the "twin of Costco's Pro 6.

I love my mixer. Hope you do too.

Checked local stock, went ahead and ditched the Costco version and picked up Best Buy mixer yesterday. Had some fun playing with it, not ready to actually make something yet, but the savings are worth it, nice quality product. I love the ink blue color, never seen it before at either wholesale, but I definitely felt weird walking out of a best buy with a freaking stand mixer.

Small note in case anyone has a smart doorbell or intends this as a gift - make sure you select to box it. It comes shipped in the Kitchen Aid box. Xmas gift early I guess.

It's really odd that the other thread was deleted. KitchenAid is not some unreputable seller. Might be SD gaming the system for higher commissions from BB.
