Roller = Horrible

Sprayer = Best

I originally bought a similar model for a DIY project on a large structure on my property. I got the sprayer, it did a fantastic job, truly. I then decided to get the roller for the inside.. wow what a difference. It was really bad. It's a very basic roller, there's not ninja skills required. I youtubed it already, read the small manual, it's just how it is, it is messy, the flow control (handle) is not good.. just the roller like this in general is a hot mess.

A neighbor of mine that's new around here owns and is CEO of one of Floridas largest residential paint companies, he's been in the business his entire life and these aren't something new. I asked about it and he said they never use those, if they roll, they use the old fashioned kind. It's what I ended up doing too during my project and was a lot more happy with it. With the sprayer, he said Graco is a great brand but they use some other brand (I dont recall the name but its more commercial).

From the propriety roller heads to how the paint flow is controlled to the overall messiness not to mention the cleanup of the interior part of the tool adding to an already long cleanup process. If this were my only option, I would have gladly just paid professional painters. It becomes very unfun at that point.

Now, if you can get the roller kit for only $17 more then hell yeah! Get it! I know some of you people sell things so do that or see if you like it. For $17 I might have hated it a bit less.

BTW: There is a model up with wheels and stuff, I'm pretty sure there are DIY videos on how to do that yourself. I have that model with the roll stand and really like it so if you are planning on doing 5 gallon buckets and own a lot of property, I would consider the upgrade.

Caution, this sprayer isn't Silento, it's actually Muy Ruidoso.

Which is, incidentally, also my Reggaeton stage name.

I bought this sprayer in the spring this year to paint my 2 story house. It is a great sprayer. The addons I purchased at the time were a longer hose, 4 foot whip hose, and a sprayer extension. Nice deal.

Have you ever used a spray gun with a compressor? How does it compare?

I found maintenance to be quite an ordeal for mine and got rid of it. When it was spraying, it was wonderful. When it came time to do literally every other aspect of caring for it, it was messy and a hassle. Just a word of warning for impatient painters out there.

Would this be a good purchase for someone who is about the build and paint new cabinets?

I just finished up quite a bit of painting with a sprayer. I just feel like no matter what, paint cleanup sucks and is bound to leave you with a bad back from standing over a utility tub. Goodness, I was just hoping to paint all night versus cleanup time.

That being said, still better to clean up sprayer parts versus cleaning up rollers. Unless you're a high roller who just tosses them every time, that is...

Besides a small airbrush compressor, no. I did quite a bit of research on sprayers before I bought this one though. I was more than pleased with my purchase. I even had someone offer to buy it off of me after I was done but I decided to hold onto it because I was so pleased with it. I'd highly recommend the whip hose and a good extension. Whip hose made it a lot easier to move around.

Bought the x7 model to paint the eaves and back of my one story house and the shed.
Total spend on supplies $700+- Labor free ;-)
Painter wanted $2,000-$3,000 just to paint the house, paint not included. I was able to spray Sherwin Willian Duration paint(liquid gold) straight from the container.
It was a learning experience and worth it imo.

Yes, cleanup for long term storage of the sprayer takes some time. But overnight, you can just drop the gun into a bucket of water. I've done that for a duration of 3 days with no evident adverse effects.

A 50' hose, and a cart with wheels that can hold the 5 gallon paint can, are convenient extras, which probably come with the next higher model (I didn't check).

This is a great deal. From all the reviews I've read, this is the best sprayer for the money, durability, etc. I've been waiting for the price on the sprayer to come down, but it has only gone up over the pandemic. With this deal, I got the sprayer, the 315 tip ($30), the 20" extension ($44) and a 25' hose ($35) all for $14 more than the sprayer alone. I'll say it again, great deal. Thx OP.
