Great deal! You'll never find a 70" brand TV for such a cheap price!
It's got 4K UHD HDR10 with HDMI 2.1 and eARC and compatible with Alexa, Google and Apple Airplay 2.
Just release last month or so on Samsung's website.

Here is the official specs sheet : https://image-us.samsung.com/Sams..._TV_V3.pdf

Anyone know if this Samsung TV will play H265 MKV files thru the USB port?

Yes, I have a 2020 crv. Tight fit but it works.
Had to move the front seats up like 2 inches but otherwise a perfect fit

Either add another few hundred $ to your budget, or step down to a 75" TV, where there are a couple solid options at or under $999.
Yeah I just order the 75" Q60A

I was looking for new TVs and got the 55" Q60A for my bedroom.

I was walking around the store looking for a new living room TV as well.
I was looking only at Samsung/Sony but then I saw the LG OLED.
Ended up buying the 65" LG OLED C1 for the living room.

Nov. 4 - Nov. 5... receive 10% cash back (up to $30) on BB "Top Deals" (this TV falls under the "Top Deals" header) through r E t A i L m E n O t. Some exclusions... mainly Apple prod. This might get blocked...
And, as a BB cardholder, I got $60 reward credit on future purpase direct from BB on top of that. Plus BF price match from BB - last year a similar set was $530. Could effectively bring the price down to $440 if all this happens.

Last year this set (TU6980) sold for $529.99 at BestBuy around Black Friday. It's a decent set. Only problem I have is it'll drop the WiFi from time to time and have to cycle power to get it back. Would be nice to have more than two HDMI ports but I only use a DVR and sound bar so not a deal breaker for me. Not a fan of all the crap and clutter Samsung puts on the home screen either.
I bought the same TV last year. I don't like the clutter at the bottom of the screen either but the TV is decent if you have a realistic expectation for a $630 TV. I use the the OTA tuner for local stations (which works great BTW) and a few of the streaming services with the built in smart hub (which also works great) for 80% of my viewing. ZERO complaints. I would buy this TV again and am considering purchasing a larger version of the same TV this year if it goes on sale for a better price on Black Friday.

I recently bought a Samsung Series 7, and it is possibly the most annoying/worst TV i may have owned. Mostly because of how much crap the OS comes with it totally ruins your TV experience. Many annoying things can be fixed by changing default setting but the following can't be:
  • Every time you change HDMI input (and remember the TV has only 2 ports) it will go into detecting device. It wants to give you some kind of functionality to use my TV remote with my device (my device has a much better remote). This is a huge time waste and major annoyance, not to mention it never works
  • The samsung interface is total garbage, and puts you in all kind of bloated samsung TV bullshit that you don't want. If you thought you were going to use the smart functionality forget it. It takes a few seconds for the menu to change after clicking a button on the remote. Buy a chromecast (this is where the 2 ports start to annoy you)
  • The TV doesn't appear to be compatible with much - e.g. I've never owned a TV where I couldn't change my volumne with chromecast remote, for this one I can't
Overall, the annoyance on a daily basis is enough that I would pay a couple hundred dollars for replacing this with something else. I used to have an LG TV with webOS, and I just miss the ease of use. When I purchased the TV I never factored how much impact the user interface can have on usability - I just wanted a big screen and 4k. I'm a tech savvy person after-all and can change the defaults, I thought. Big mistake. I implore you to not buy this garbage bloatware - I am truly annoyed.

It's mostly just marketing. Crystal UHD is still just a 4K LCD. Not new panel technology. It's like when TVs started being marketed as LED. LED TVs are still just LCDs. The LED refers to the way the screen is lit.

QLED achieves some of the highest peak brightness levels, giving you super bright whites, but OLED gives you absolute pitch black; because it isn't backlit. The lighting diodes turn themselves off to create the darkest blacks and best contrast, giving you the most detail out of any other TV panel.

There is nothing better on the market than an OLED, specifically from LG. QLED gets the silver medal (I don't meant that as a bad thing), and LCD/LED/Crystal UHD are all essentially entry level. Bronze medals.

If you have QLED, this is a big step down. As at least one other person has stated, this is the TV you get just for size.
I agree with every point you said. Just wonder how people's eye can distinguish the difference when watching a movie on a 70" screen from 15 feet away. I am still struggling from whether wearing glasses (I am a little near sighted but do not usually wear glasses) when watching TV, so I feel the difference between my Samsung QN82 (QLED) and EH6350 (LED) when in equal ratio distance is very minimal. So in for one.

Some of the comments on here talking about how trash this is going to look.... When 5 years ago noone was complaining about how bad basic 4k is.
Right? I constantly remind myself and my wife that most features we nitpick these days (in cars, tvs, etc.) are things that we didn't even exist 5-10 years ago and we all did just fine Smilie I understand we all want to maximize quality and value, but good to keep things a lil in perspective.

Got mine delivered today. But when I unpacked and switched it on, I found a big crack in the screen. Called up Bestbuy for replacement. They will be replacing it on Thursday

Do BestBuy come and pick it up if we don't like or find better deal ?? Free returns ?

Edit- I asked customer care, and they do have an option of prepaid UPS return. A person will come to your doorstep and pick up the product.
