Works way better on Android (former Note series user). On my iPhone in order for an activity to sync automatically, the Garmin Connect app must be open. On my Notes, the activity would sync immediately then when I opened garmin connect it was already there. Also on Android, you can select which notifications you want to receive on the watch. iPhone doesn't allow this.
It's probably Apple being Apple.

But still I would take a Garmin Fenix or Instinct Solar over an Apple Watch all day. Why would I need another phone on my wrist? And that you'll have to charge every night? Then Apple will make you feel like a loser if you don't upgrade the next year

I think the S just means its 40mm face instead of 45mm, but I may be wrong.

It depends on what is your application. What features are important to you (the must vs would be nice), what are you willing to sacrifice for other features or price, etc.

Adding Vivoactive 4 and checking 3yr warranty on Buydig and warranty is still showing up as $60. You have to select the CPS warranty in the suggested items below the watch to get the discounted warranty. Shows as:

Thanks, I went with the Instinct Solar from Amazon. It will be here tomorrow. I hate Amazon reviews though. I always read the bad reviews first and scares me, then I see 25k reviews 84% 5 star and 9% 4 star I think I should be good. Also Amazon groups the Instincts (Std and Solar) together, so you have to check the reviewers description to see what version they actually got. The Instinct and Instinct Solar are two very different watches and not just because of the solar, it's almost a Instinct 2.0 with Solar.

FYI I just walked out of REI paying $199.99 for Garmin Instinct Solar. The 20% member coupon worked even though it was on sale for $250. Looked at the Fenix 6 but the build quality of my Fenix 3 HR titanium is much better

If you have Amazon CC, you get 10% cash back, making it $225. If you add 3-years warranty from Asurion, you're coming to $258.
It's $8 more than BuyDig sale price, but your tracker and warranty protection are from more reliable companies.
My BuyDig order was shipped, but I think I'll return it and will go with Amazon (providing price stays the same)
