Get the $20 protection plan...thank me later
I'll put it this way. I've gotten better longevity out of every single regular xbox controller that I've ever owned. I've owned 3 elite controllers and at least 5 regular controllers.
Absolutely, my pro controller dpad stopped working within two months

V1 or v2? I've had great luck with a V1 (bought when they came out). It's well past it's playing age but for a 5 yr old and forza works great. Debating this just for the feel but damn if missing the knobs etc thanks to forza rage of my son sucks. Lol

Is this the 2nd gen version? I lost track with this whole "series" marketing. I still have original but it drifts when I let go playing warzone…. i fell off buildings way too many times. It's still usable for the most part.

I guess what i'm trying to ask is this for the current gen series X?

Unfortunately Target circle 10% expired according to what my app says. Still a nice deal!

I tried three times to get a working one, but within the first week all three developed stuck buttons and creaking triggers that went past the limit you set on the underside of the controller. Worse QC than their regular controllers, it's ridiculous.

Quote from Kairi :
Microsoft is along with one of those companies that figured out that making products that break down over time is more profitable than making sturdy, long-lasting products. Because if you make a product that lasts many years, decades, or a lifetime -- then you only get that one sale.

Which is why the Elite has such a poor reputation for build quality. Same thing happened with the Xbox 360 and the RROD. Worst case scenario, they have to pay out from a class-action lawsuit.

the xbox 360 controllers on the other hand can withstand a billion hours of gaming! My favorite controller of all time.

Jesus, what kind of suckers are we to spend $130 on a controller that also breaks fairly often? Unless it gives regular hand jobs and cooks for you after the fight with wife, it's insane to spend this much IMHO.
