The location of the sensor is stupid, it should be higher up and not at the base. Washing anything this thing will keep Turing off when you don't want it to. Had to disable the feature and use it as normal because it just got to annoying.

I had the flow motion faucet for 2-3 years now, bought for $99 during HD daily deal. I love it, and like the placement of the sensor. It reads about 2-3" out only. Mine does go on/off occasionally (rarely) during dishes but not a problem.

It takes some getting used too, but wife and I love it now.

I actually very rarely have that issue. Maybe if I'm washing a large pot and get one side of the pot close to the sensor, but honestly it almost never happens.

I have it for about 3 years now, and the spray head started to leak badly at the flexible connection point. Couldn't figure out how to take that apart and replace any seal / ring if possible. This has now became a piece of waste.

Agreed. I thought I'd hate the motion sensor feature, but I actually love it.

Yeah you should be able to adjust the sensitivity but overall it isn't a problem

Had it for 4 years with motion and loving it, my kitchen is used daily a lot. This week chatted with support cause it started leaking slightly below where lever is, it was quick and I'm getting new battery delivered, they definitely stand behind their product.

Got one from the deal about a year ago. We like it and it is a great time/effort saver when you add up all those actions.
Of late though, and after the first battery changeout, it has become hyper-sensitive. Like, washing an item will activate the sensor 3 or 4 times in a minute or two. I have started shutting it manually, which of course negates the whole idea.
Anyone have any idea how to adjust the sensitivity or if it's even possible? Manual did not have anything.

Same here, only happens when I am trying to clean around the sensor area. I absolutely love mine and would definitely not buy a kitchen faucet without a motion sensor going forward. I love the automatic 2 minute cut off and the batteries last forever. Can be used manually by pulling out as well. Highly recommended

I used a transparent tape over the sensor. You apply multiple layer(s) until you reach the sensitivity that you need.

Is this something I can change out easily? I rent and not sure what the process is like. Are they all interchangeable or will it require modification/specific sinks? also, is the spring one worth the extra cost?

If you rent, better to ask your management company if they can change it. Ours did it at no charge.
