This or the A7 lite I picked up from Best Buy earlier this week? I have never owned a tablet before. Not sure I need the extra screen real estate, but if this one is appreciably faster, I might prefer it.

This would be better in terms of performance it has a snapdragon 600 series vs a mediatek p22

A7 has bigger screen, better battery life, better front camera, etc. I've never owned either but don't hear good stuff about the Lites... always laggy.

Walmart has the new Black Friday deals starting soon and this will be less than $130 if you don't leave the SD card. I do not have any problem getting the online Walmart Black Friday deals so hoping it'll be the same with the A7. Just gotta start shopping as soon as they go live.

That's the 3GB/32GB version. This one is 4GB/64GB. I'd rather pay the extra $30 for the additional RAM, storage, and 64GB micro SD.

Samsung phones - I like.Samsung tablets - I like until the screen issues occur. On the plus side, if under warranty, they'll reseat the graphics cable and your screen is no longer dim.

Does this have 4gb of ram? I thought it only had 3, that's why I was looking at the lite version with 64gb storage (and 4gb of ram).

Spec sheet on the Costco product page says 3gb of ram.

Thanks for catching that. You're right, the lite version has that RAM bump on the 64GB version. The thing that stopped me from considering the lite is the low resolution, missing fingerprint, and inability to run HD streaming for Netflix, Disney+, etc. due to Widevine problems.

This one has a better processor, so it may end up having the same performance with 1gb less of ram. Not sure, I'm no expert on tablets, just need something to replace my old Nexus tablet.
