First off, excuse my non-technical terms. Would this tablet be good to reprogram and turn into a car GPS? I've seen some videos on YT and reprogramming a tablet for a dedicated car GPS looks a lot cheaper than buying a new Garmin Overlander.

How do either one of these a A7 or A7 Lite compare to the Amazon HD 10? Looking for a cheap tablet that my kid can draw on with a stylus. Would love an iPad but don't think he'd appreciate it at this point.

The 64 GB card is useless as you're not able to transfer apps on it like the older models.

Walmart has the new Black Friday deals starting soon and this will be less than $130 if you don't leave the SD card. I do not have any problem getting the online Walmart Black Friday deals so hoping it'll be the same with the A7. Just gotta start shopping as soon as they go live.
Are you sure Walmart one is 64 GB like Costco one? I have been searching to buy Tab A for a while and am guessing Walmart BF deal may be 32 GB version.

Almost any Android phone or tablet will work if they have GPS hardware and navigation app (Amazon tablets don't have either). No "reprogramming" is needed. You can use Google Maps and download maps for offline usage, though those have a 1-year timeframe before they are erased. If you use Here Maps, that would work as well. The caveat is you won't get real-time traffic without some internet service, so using your phone hotspot is an option.

I believe you are correct according to another person's comment on either this thread or another one. I'm not super concerned about internal storage though, as they just need enough to download a few movies for trips.

I just bought Tab A7 10.4 inches 32 GB from Target which I only set up my account and haven't done anything. I am wondering if I should return it and buy this Costco one instead? My main purpose is to read ebooks and digital magazines on the tablet, so I probably don't need 64GB internal memory but having the option is good, right?

I agree with your comment about storage needs. What is the difference between the Tab A and the A7? Are they the same?

Tab A is older model than Tab A7, I think. I typoed my OP. I have Tab A7 10.4 inches from Target. Sorry about that.

What would you recommend in the <$200 range? Android and Google Play needed. Thanks!

$28.49 for 64GB Lite version w/ trade also.
ALSO, it varies based on what you are trading.
At this point, gonna call it a bad deal, based on trade values offered. At least I only wasted 5 minutes on this goose chase. TD!
That trade-in page says it'll give $120 for iPad 9.7 inch. But it doesn't specify what generation of iPad just says 9.7. I have an old iPad 2 that is technically 9.7 inch. I wonder if I can trade that in?

Probably want to take into consideration the screen type for a tablet. You want something bright if you're using it in a car especially during the day. Not all tablets are as bright

I would pick this up if I could use my $45 off $250 membership sign up coupon that inconveniently expires the 14th. 😐
