I bought the Magic Clipper cordless directly from Wahl. They're $100, professional grade, but they're also the best clippers I've ever used.

Been shaving my head myself for 20 years, and until I find something better, these will be my go-to. I'll never buy a cheap set like this ever again (I've gone through multiple, usually replacing them every couple years).

EDIT: These are what I'd recommend for shaving your head. They get to a 00 cut in closeness and can "cut lines" in terms of doing detail work.

If you're looking for beard / face trimmers, that's another discussion.

I have the corded version, and although the cord can be a hassle, I realize that I wouldn't want to be mid haircut with an empty battery. I like the color coded heads. Had my unit for about a year now. Saved myself about $150 over the last year with at home haircuts.

Don't mean to sidetrack the thread here but as I am in a market for a good trimmer, I have a question. Is there a thinner trimmer that delivers a close trim like those in those advertisements you see everywhere? What trimmer would someone knowledgeable recommend?

Wahl Magic Clip and Andis Master would be among my top choices. I am partial to Wahl as I have been using their products for many years.

I cut my boys' hair myself and the cord is half of the hassle. They are both under 3 so superfine hair anyway. So excited to not deal with the cord any more. Thanks op!

Had this model for 2 years and it does a good enough job. It doesn't look or feel cheap, but it's not powerful or premium by any means. My first cordless one, and it's nice to have that. So are the color-coded guards. If it runs out of juice, you can always plug it in and continue cutting. Been cutting my own hair for 25 years.

I bought these for $40 a few months ago. These clippers are great. I recommend them for sure. Be sure to regularly oil the to make them last as long as possible.

Are these good for trimming the twig and berries or hedges? I'm not into the overpriced manscaped scam.
