Won't buy because of the 30g of sugar(rivaling soft drinks), but great deal for those who don't mind it.

(the really funny part is they added 4g of sugar alcohols, too, because the 30g of sugar apparently didn't make it sweet enough!)

I'm actually planning on going back to the gym for the first time since March of 2020 this month. I'd been considering taking a protein bar to snack on (half before swim, half after swim) if it might actually help me in some way. I took a look at the nutrition facts on this bar before perusing this thread and was appalled at that sugar number. (I've been teetering on the very lowest A1C percentage of pre-diabetes for the last several years.) Are there any bars people would recommend that have a good amount of protein without the soda levels of sugar? I'm considering Quest, but they seem to have less protein while costing a lot more.

Kirkland protein bars are ok tasting, among the healthiest(not saying much) but affordable. Rxbars have good ingredients, but are expensive and don't have much protein. Bars are really not the best way to get your protien, and if you want healthy and affordable you'll have to make your own. Powdered protein shakes may be a better option. Whey protien and egg whites are the most effective way to get protein for building/retaining muscle.

As counterintuitive as it sounds, I'm pretty lazy when it comes to exercising/nutrition. I can go to the pool and swim hard for 40 minutes, but after that, I can't be bothered to shake up a shake. I'll take something I can unwrap and all but inhale any day. A shame bananas don't have significant amounts of protein or that would be the best.

My 14 year old LOVES these... Takes them as a 'snack' with his lunch. 5'7, 120 lbs... I'd much rather him eat these than a snickers or other crap... So while it's not as healthy as a stick of celery, it works for us. Thanks OP!

None. Seriously, everytime I find myself in one of these bar threads, I remember why I never buy. The amount of sugar and I'd get more bang for buck in a protein shake. I used to purchase the Quest bars then saw it as a waste "in my opinion".

I've never used it and can't personally vouch for it, but for what it's worth, this protein shake (link below) just coincidentally dropped in on slickdeals, looks to be about half price, generally looks way healthier than any bars I've seen. Not perfect, I wish it had a bit less sodium, but looks decent from every other angle, and you're not likely to find any perfect healthy supplements that taste good enough that most people will buy them anyway. I'd definitely go for the shake below before this bar, from a nutrition/health standpoint.

I will eat these occasionally as a meal replacement. Tons of sugar, but that makes them delicious. For me they are coming to $4.25, so at ~50c/bar, thats a deal.
