Charge rates on the charger are pretty HIGH @ 2500mA for AA's, and 1000mA for AAA's. Trickle charge is 50mA for AA's, and 20mA for AAA's. For me these rates are MUCH TO HIGH

I would not use any higher charge rate than half the rating of the cell. HEAT KILLS! I would use ~500mA for the AA's, and ~200mA for the AAA's.
Rapid "1 Hr. Charger," 60mins or less to charge to capacity. Will charge 1-4 cells at a time.

There are 2 kinds of NiMH rechargeable, the traditional or LSD (low self discharge).
Eneloop was created by Sanyo as a brand for LSD batteries only.
Energizer also has LSD which usually said "pre-charged" on the package so it's available for immediate use.
Since this Energizer doesn't say pre-charged, so I assume it's not LSD
Traditional one is great for frequently used and high discharge like camera flash, RC cars and etc that require charging often, so holding charge for months is not relevant.
They're generally either high capacity, cheaper or more recharging cycles
LSD is good for lower discharging devices or stocking up for latter use.
Buy the cheaper ones that suit your purpose. If same price and same capacity, of course LSD is better buy.
However, I'd rather use the $1 for 4 AA/AAA Alkaline for TV remotes (50c for years) rather than much more costly NiMH and risking overdischarging and ruining batteries permanently.
My recent favorites are rechargeable Lithium batteries (not to be used high discharged devices though), true 1.5V to compatible with all AA/AAA electronics and can be pre-charged to hold charge for many months like LSD
