You can check the Dell outlet section, sometimes you can score great prices when there is active coupon codes that you can add on top.
As of right now, this New $400 is less than a used one lol

These Inspiron models have 2 Ram slots.

Need something like this, with optical drive, win 10, wifi, no need any drives - purely for torrent, web etc, connected to tv.
Would love to get one refurbished for 'bout $300. Any ideas where to find one?
Another model you can find for a little more money is the dell precision 3620. It has 6th gen skylake and has an m.2 slot on the motherboard in addition to all the other things I mentioned but they're often a lot closer to 250-300$

Hence my (and other poster's) point that for this use case, it's a lot of volume wasted. That's the point we're making. If you want a platform for upgrading, you can do better. If you want what this is, you probably, though not definitely, want something smaller. Though that is obviously a subjective case by case decision...

I'd be interested if it was an i5-11400 at this price point. That gets a decent performance increase from 10400 as well as AV1 decode.
I think the PSU might be enough to sneak a GPU in there too. I see both 260 W and 360 W listed... do they just give you a random one?
