Their bits are widely considered among the best bits... Now if you wanted to talk about how bad Milwaukee and DeWalt bits are, there is a discussion to be had. Makita and Bosch seem to stand out.

You're daft. Makita bits as well as their case are the best out there. The only one labeled completely and easy to pull out and put back in.

If you've got ~12 mins I would highly recommend "Project Farm" 's Youtube Channel. He does a great job comparing tool brands and their performances. Here's one he did on impact bits:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-xOHQTT5tw

edit: I just want to clarify that the Makita bits in the above video is NOT the Makita "XPS" bits featured in this post.

I was simply sharing a (relevant) resource that I think would be helpful.

I think these are better than the gold ones they used to have. I use the hell out of mine. Got this set last year on sale for $14.99. For this price, this is a good deal.

Actually the XPS bits are noticeably better than other brands. It would be perfect to add XPS mag boost to go along.

This. I have this and the Milwaukee set and other than for the super long extension, I'll almost always reach for this one.

In for one. I've been using the dewalt bits (terrible) and it's about time I upgrade.

Seems like the default seller is just under a buck more. You have to buy from "other sellers" to get the $13.99 price. Still Prime, though.

You're nuts. These are highly rated and put them back on the map.

He didn't even test the Makita XPS bits. He tested the lower end older ones and look how well they did. The XPS bits are a cut above.

I am aware. I just wanted to comment that this is my go to YouTube channel did in depth comparison. Overall the XPS are superior to the gold ones and they withstand more use and abuse. I have them and love them.
