Also if you have many in the neighborhood on Xfinity, it slows you down.
Lastly, when we went past 1 TB we got an additional bill saying we used too much, this happened for two months and I switched.
Although their Customer Service is much better than ATT

Needs 24 month?
Includes $300 visa card for new service
Add xFi Complete with unlimited data for $15/mo. for 1 year
Unlock $30/mo. off your Internet bill for 24 months with an active Xfinity Mobile line
Receive $200 per line that you migrate to Xfinity Mobile
By my calculations that comes out to $64.99/month with $700 in cash ($300 visa card and two $200 visa cards for mobile for migrating two lines)
for us, 400mb + 1line of unlimited, thats 59.99 + 45 - 30 discount. then there is a $500 GC, 300 for combo service and 200 for bring your own device.
what you need to do assume account under A.
1. place order using name B. you can also chat at the same time and ask rep for the help of x mobile order. you can also confirm all the promotions.
2. A, call xfinity to close account.
make sure you ask them to close account completely, then remove the current router/modem on the account.
(they will not close account completely if you dont ask, and current router/modem can not be used by other people if you dont ask them to remove under A's account. ) i called them 3 times
3. B. call them to activate.
second step is very important. they will intentionally keep your account open in case you change your mind, and also the modem is attached to account, you have to ask them to remove it specifically otherwise no one else will be able to use it for xfinity.
hope this helps.
If T-Mobile home internet ends up being available and solid, that could be an option in the future.
Data speed does not equal data usage. I'm not sure you understand how the internet works.
Not once in my post did I say how much data I use. I could be using 50mb of data a month. I talked purely about the speed of it, even if you use little data the speed affects how fast you get that data. Read my post again, I simply said the speed they sell may not be the speed you get. That has zero to do with the amount of data you use.
(Did this several times in the past - real disconnection time is 11:59pm on the chosen day + 10 days + 3 hours 15 minutes)
You can schedule a disconnect online (no talking to anyone) by saying you're "moving" to some arbitrary place with no service.
Signed up for this, and was surprisingly met with 10Mbps upload on the final page.
(IMO 50/10 is plenty as long as the 1TB cap is still there. I'd prioritize lifting the cap over getting faster speeds.)
Activation is still kind of a pain. I was able to do it over xfinity assistant (text chat) but my older modems were still "associated" with my own addresses/accounts, despite having service disconnected. The agent said I'd need to bring those in-store to get them cleared... lol (it can definitely be cleared without going in person)

Although their Customer Service is much better than ATT
Sign up for 50 Mbps Internet for $20/mo. for 12 months. Or for the first time ever, get 600 Mbps for $20/mo. for 12 months when you add an Xfinity Mobile line. Plus, get a $300 Visa® Card with new Xfinity Internet and Mobile services.
I would take this offer is not showing for me
I'll try for AT&T Fiber's new customer giftcard deals. But if for some reason AT&T doesn't consider me a new customer, then I'll switch to XFinity for a year.
Looks like my internet is going up 30-50%.

More seriously, isn't it annoying to go without internet for a while in between?
