You are spreading misinformation with outdated information.

After the public backlash, WD split the line int Red and Red Plus. The Red is SMR and Red Plus like this one is CMR. The model numbers were also changed to further differentiate them.

Good price but Newegg has a reputation for poorly packed shipping for bare/OEM drives. Amazon has gotten better at it in my recent purchases but they won't match pricing with a coupon (which is probably why Newegg does it that way).

Seems like a decent price considering the chip shortage.

These 6TB 5xxx rpm HDDs are consistently good value, especially if you don't need the extra 7200 rpm speed and noise.

I bought one 2 weeks ago. It arrived in a cardboard box, and inside that, in a bubble-wrap sleeve. Was fine, except I paid $15 more then.

Same here. Mine arrived just fine and currently in my NAS. I wonder if Newegg will do a price adjustment?

Should there be any concern that the reviews are sub 4 on Newegg (3.8/5)?

I have 4 WD Red 6TB (WD60EFRX) in a NAS, but one went bad. Would it be a bad idea to replace it with this model (WD60EFZX)?

These HDDs are advertised for NAS use, but are they good for use with a regular PC build as well?

you're fine, the controllers manage each drive - as long it's on the approved list mixing is not an issue - this has a larger cache
