American Express.com now offer discounted gift card when you use points to redeem, I think it is targeted, this is my first time posting, If this offer someone post before me, please feel free to delete my posting, thank you.

log in your account and click "redeem for gift cards' and then you will see "You're eligible for discounts on gift cards!"

Open a Schwab Bank account, open the Schwab Platinum card, and transfer all your points for cash if you dont plan on using an airline bonus.

Definitely worth using MR points for travel, and you have to be smart about it. I converted a bunch of points to Avios during AMEX's 40% bonus, and then used those points for three RT tickets to Paris next year, saving about $2400 or so (cost was $660 in cash+points). I used 130,000 Avios points but didn't use nearly that many due to the bonuses, which also came from Chase Ultimate Rewards (30% bonus).
