I guess hardness is relative and I don't know what size your smallest dog is, but these are no harder to break in half than a standard milkbone. My bigger concern here is the quality of the treats I've gotten from Amazon lately (normally get these from Sam's). They have been significantly worse on a few occasions, with beaten bags, and some of the treats in my last (banana and yogurt) bag had literally hair baked into the treat itself.
