I bought one of these for a friend who just needed a speed increase from her 5th-gen Intel laptop. The Inspiron is very quick and relatively lightweight. Decent 1080p screen. A good value for a senior or someone who just needs a basic no-frills Windows laptop.

Looks like a 2021 model. 5.5lbs is heavier than I'd want for this but not a terrible deal.

Looks like a $20 premium over the last bestcombination of these specifications. That device also featured a larger SSD and was in the 14" form factor (which typically commands a premium in the Windows laptop space). Not sure why you'd fork over $50 to Dell for the RAM upgrade unless the RAM is soldered? If you're willing to get in on the $350 price point you could also get much better hardware, as suggested by a recent early BF deal.

I would not recommend this one with i3. Just got and returned it the next day. Wasn't as smooth. Would be a bit slow. Get the i5 instead.

This is a $10 better deal than when I bought it a few months ago.

I upgraded to Win 10 home out of S mode and then Win 11 - all free. Added 4G of RAM in the empty slot for about $20. I use the computer mainly for web apps but sometimes have 15 or 20 tabs open at a time. This is where the extra memory really helps out. Running task manager helps to see which resource is sparse. For my purposes the I3 CPU and the GPU are plenty fast.

This is the kind of laptop you get for someone you don't like. But also it's a Dell so you'd have to really hate them.
